‘‘हमारा यह सिद्धान्त है कि सम्पूर्ण मा��व-जाति से सहानुभूति करो। यदि एक व्यक्ति अपने पड़ोसी हिन्दू को देखता है कि उस के घर में आग लग गर्इ और यह नहीं उठता कि आग बुझाने में सहायता करे तो मैं सच-सच कहता हूँ कि वह मुझ से नहीं है। यदि एक व्यक्ति हमारे मुरीदों (अनुयायियों) में से देखता है कि एक र्इसार्इ को कोर्इ क़त्ल करता है और वह उसके छुड़ाने के लिए सहायता नहीं करता तो मैं तुम्हें बिल्कुल सच कहता हूँ कि वह हम में से नहीं है।”

"समस्त वैर और द्वेष की जड़ वास्तव में धार्मिक मतभेद है। यही धार्मिक म��भेद हमेशा से जब चरम सीमा तक पहुँचता रहा है तो ख़ून की नदियाँ बहाता रहा है। हे मुसलमानो! जब कि हिन्दू सज्जन तुम्हें धार्मिक मतभेद के कारण एक ग़ैर क़ौम समझते हैं और तुम भी इस कारण से उनको एक ग़ैर क़ौम समझते हो। इसलिए जब तक इस कारण का निवारण नहीं होगा, तुम में और उन में क्योंकर एक सच्ची सफाई पैदा हो सकती है। ह���ं संभव है कि मक्कारी के तौर पर आपस में कुछ दिनों के लिए मेलजोल भी हो जाए, परन्तु वह हार्दिक शुद्धता जिसे वास्तव में सफ़ाई कहना चाहिए केवल उसी स्थिति में पैदा होगी जबकि आप लोग वेद और वेद के ॠषियों को सच्चे हृदय से ख़ुदा की ओर से स्वीकार कर लोगे। और ऐसा ही हिन्दू लोग भी अपनी संकीर्णता को दूर करके हमारे नबी सल्लल्लाहो अलैहि व सल्लम की नबुव्वत का सत्यापन कर लेंगे। याद रखो और भली भांति स्मरण रखो कि ���ुम में और हिन्दू सज्जनों में सच्ची सुलह कराने वाला केवल यही एक उपाय और यही ऐसा पानी है जो दिल की गन्दगियों को धो देगा।"
