no, I don't think it's coming more from vibe coders, I was seeing from an angle, where a dev working on 9-6 job now have more motivation because of audience they can build just by building in public and ai tools that can do the coding part fast enough with good directions that it leaves no excuse to not use these 2 advantages
I would agree, if ai tools weren't there. before that many public built projects were farming auidence so that they can pitch for a vc and get investment for actual dev team. rn ai tools can do a lot of heavy lifting, and people actually started shipping and earning from the audience itself. Marc Lou, Peter and others are good role models in this.
yes, there many more others who want to do no more than 5 iterations, slap some vibe coded features and ship any unhinged idea just to reach that $1K MRR, but this shouldn't cast a shadow to others who are actually using this opportunity and ready to iterate 10s of times, work on bugs and features users actually asking
@andrewzacker@TheNewMidia agreed, building in public has advantages that the other paths don't have. connections, people helping you along the way, even someone with bigger audience mentioning you can do a huge impact
I have planned to create a solution for this with modular libraries, it takes hell lot of initial building, but building the next projects on top will be just plug-and-play lvl easy. hope to start this on q2
did I use llm tools - yes, could it be better from the start - absolutely. first thing you can do is to develop backend and frontend guidelines. not just for the ai tool, but for yourself too. obv postponing it backfired here

there goes q1 of 2026. honestly when I tried out claude last year, I thought done, I'm gonna build a startup next month. claude said hold my token limits. this year I'm working on a side project that I hope to launch soon. hope q2 will be completely different π
ai as a "thinking partner" is a real deal. making progress in every life domain is so easy yet so difficult now, because of gigantic pool of information and misinformation. moving the needle in every domain of my life has never been this much easier
so it's been 3 months since I bought a segway e-scooter. one of my best investments so far. have been to gym, outdoor work session, visited my doctor and went to nutrition shop today. no traffic jams even in rush hours, all rides were about 10 mins. total 40km
@OpenAI instead of blocking the users that cancelled their subscription recently, you guys could
- fix side menu refresh logic
- improve projects ( indexing, file sizes limit )
- improve chats ( file artifacts menu )
- work on punctual models along side "creative" ones
been using opus 4.5 with max plan for a month. just wrote a c# solution to parse sql server generated schema script ( almost 10K lines ) into a human-readable md format. it parsed, generated 6K lines of markdown with 0 exceptions. this was one shot. the best investment ever ))
