We must remember that memecoins are the most volatile asset class in the world

There is no escaping the volatility

Even the most valuable memecoin in the world that was bull posted by the richest man in the world relentlessly for months had a correction equal to what $DOG is experiencing right now

Volatility is both a curse and a blessing

This week, we sat down with @Nikitasia_1_ and got down to brass tacks.

1) What was the first GU you bought and do you still hold it?

The first GU I bought was my beautiful blue headband #7295. Olga actually helped me pick this one, so it has a special meaning for me.

Do I still hold it? Well… that depends on how you look at it 😄 My nephew completely fell in love with it, so I gifted it to him so he could join our awesome Genuine Undead community. No regrets at all 🥰

2) What is your favourite GU piece and why?

That would be my profile picture and yes, I’m talking about my beautiful Watch Cap.

I’m truly in love with it. Watch Caps are my absolute favorite trait, this probably comes as no surprise to most of you. 🤭

I received this watch cap from @Olga57612883 , who also introduced me to Genuine Undead at that time. I’m incredibly grateful that she brought me into this amazing community. I can’t imagine my life without being part of Genuine Undead anymore.

My beautiful watch cap will always stay with me, because it means so much to me that I can’t even put its value into words. I wouldn’t sell it for the world 💎🩷

3) Which is your favourite project outside of GU?

From the very beginning, Genuine Undead has had my full focus. For personal reasons, I only had enough energy at that time to truly concentrate on Genuine Undead and in many ways, it actually helped me heal and become stronger. That alone shows how incredible and supportive this community truly is 🙏

If I had to choose another project outside of GU, it would definitely be The Cute & Creepy Gang (@CuteCreepyGang) created by Vickillicious (@Vickilicious10) She is my amazing and incredibly talented friend. I absolutely love all of her work! Her creativity is endless and I’m extremely proud of her and all the passion and heart she pours into everything she does 😍

4) What do you expect from Web3 in the future?

Honestly, I’m not someone who has expectations. I usually go with the flow, and I’m the kind of person who enjoys being surprised by progress and new things as they unfold. I love supporting beautiful ideas when they emerge naturally.

At the same time, I hope Web3 continues to move away from hype and speculation and more toward people, connection, and purpose. I believe it has the potential to empower creators, give individuals a real voice, and build meaningful, safe, and supportive communities.

Web3 is constantly evolving, and I’m sure it will continue to surprise me. More and more people will discover this world over time, and I’m grateful that I found my way into it at an early stage.

5) Why GU?

Oh my gosh, where do I even start? I could give you a million reasons, but I’ll try to focus on the ones that mean the most to me.

First, our incredible, talented, warm, and caring community. You won’t find another community like ours. There are so many truly exceptional people in GU, all with their own unique personalities, and they continue to amaze me every single day. As I mentioned before, GU became my safe home during a very difficult time in my life, and I will always be deeply grateful for that. Honestly, just join our Discord and you’ll immediately understand what I mean. 😉

Second, the people who are building and who never stop building. Some work quietly in the background, others are more visible, but every single one of them matters. I’m incredibly proud of them all. Everyone brings their own talents, and they continue to surprise me constantly. I honestly don’t know where they find the energy, but I’m sure it comes from a shared passion for Genuine Undead, a passion I deeply share as well ❤️‍🔥

Third, the art. And yes, you might laugh and wonder why I didn’t put this first. The reason is simple: I value human connection above everything else. That said, I can’t even begin to explain how much I love the art. It was what first drew me to Genuine Undead, and the community behind it has only made that love grow stronger with time.

Our pixel-based collection is, in my eyes, one of the most unique out there. It was one of the first to evolve into something so beautifully complex. Even after all these years, we’re still discovering tiny details we fall in love with all over again. And trying to recreate or expand on this art is incredibly challenging because of how detailed it is. The more you look at it, the more you’ll understand what we’re always talking about.

Lastly, I want to thank the universe for leading me to discover Genuine Undead. Through it, I found a new family that truly changed my world. This community became part of who I am, and I will cherish it for the rest of my life 🙏🩷
