السيدة سمية بنت خياط (أم عمار)
هي أول شهيدة في الإسلام، كانت مولاة أبي حذيفة بن المغيرة، وهي أم عمار ابن ياسر، وزوجها ياسر بن عامر، أسلمت بمكة قديما، وكانت ممن يعذب في الله لترجع عن دينها فلم تفعل، فمر بها يوما أبو جهل فطعنها في قلبها فماتت، وكانت عجوزة كبيرة (رحمها الله).

Are you a student of knowledge?

Are you someone who is serious with the deen?

If you are, then you should know that some people feel threatened by your very existence.

They do not seek knowledge because it is not important to them. So, they do not want to see anyone doing it.

They are not much serious with their ibadah and relationship with Allah and so, they want everyone to be like them.

They have bad thoughts about students of knowledge and those who try their best.

They speak ill of them and portray them negatively in many ways.

To them, that sister wearing the complete hijab +/- niqab is a hypocrite, who is just doing it to conceal her true nature.

If it is a man, it is because the hijab and niqab prevent him from looking at their faces and bodies.

If it is a woman, it is because of pride and envy.

They know they are not doing well with regard to the deen, and they feel bad about it.

Rather than trying to make themselves better, they think bad of those doing well, sometimes to the point of slander, just to feel better about their own pathetic selves.

They’ll come out and shamelessly tell people not to marry an “ustadh/ustadha”, because according to them, those ones are hypocrites who only pretend to be religious.

These are the same people who are deeply immersed in backbiting, lying, tabarruj, music, shamelessness, etc.

The brothers who shamelessly salivate when they see the picture of a lady online are the same ones who speak ill of those who call to Allah.

The sisters who shamelessly post indecent pictures of themselves are the ones who speak ill of those who give reminders about the hijab.

Rather than going up, they want everyone to come down and meet them at the bottom.

So when everyone falls, who should carry on with the religion in the way that was taught by the Prophet ﷺ?

They rejoice whenever a person of the deen slips.

They rejoice whenever a person who portrays themselves to be religious is exposed.

They cling to that, make baseless generalisations, and use it to speak ill of every single religious person.

To them, their own way is the correct way to approach the deen.

Those doing it correctly are hypocrites and extremists.

These are the people who may not even have a single juz’ memorized, who do not know how to pray, and probably cannot translate Surah al-Fatiha and the three Quls.

This is the promise of Allah.

The people of the deen are not harmed by you.

You only harm yourselves with your lies, fabrications, and arrogance.

May Allah be pleased with the students of knowledge and those striving to practise the deen correctly.
