#WATCH | Delhi: On Sonia Gandhi meeting Mamata Banerjee during the INDIA bloc meeting, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury says, “Sonia Gandhi is a woman of stature. She is forgiving and compassionate…after all, this is a family that showed forgiveness towards Rajiv Gandhi's assassins…”

Dear @IndianOilcl it is more than 3 weeks i booked my cylinder. After 3 weeks invoice was generated on 5-6-2026. Then on 7th and now it has been cancelled “due to auto cancellation”!
What’s my fault ?

Wonder why so much importance is given to opinion of one person!
Political parties have cyclical fortunes. Today it’s @BJP4India tomorrow it will be @INCIndia.
Some people are taking Guha’s opinion like “divine revelation” and he has started believing himself to be a prophet”.
Dear @ShashiTharoor , I enjoyed your spirited defence of Rahul Gandhi. Alas, it does not address the central thesis of my column and interview—his dismal leadership record. The facts speak for themselves. The Congress suffered heavy defeats in three successive General Elections fought under his leadership. Meanwhile, the number of Congress MLAs has come down by almost 50% under his watch.
In 2013, the Congress was in power in 14 states. That was the party Rahul Gandhi inherited. Now the Congress is in power in just 5 states. As the countrywide footprint of the party shrinks, surely its principal leader should be held accountable? Or is that a question too uncomfortable for the Congress to face?
Maja Chwalinska after losing to Mirra Andreeva in Roland Garros final
“I’d like to thank all of you guys who came today. Not only today but these 3 weeks. Thank you for supporting me. I really felt your love. I’m very grateful. I wish you could see a better match today, but Mirra was just too good for me so I guess it’s her fault. 😂 I tried my best I’m sorry”
“Thank you so much. Paris will stay forever in my heart.” ❤️
A 24-year-old Polish tennis player arrived in Paris last week ranked 114th in the world, with no sponsors, no guaranteed income, and no certainty she could even pay for her hotel room.
She had to win three qualifying matches just to enter the French Open main draw. Prize money is only paid at the end of the tournament, so a Polish sports drink brand quietly stepped in and covered her hotel bill.
Her name is Maja Chwalinska. And today, she plays in the French Open final.
Before this tournament, she had won exactly one Grand Slam main draw match in her entire career. She had battled depression so severe that in 2021 she couldn't get out of bed. She underwent knee surgery in 2022. She spent years grinding through small tournaments across Europe just to stay afloat.
Then she arrived in Paris, won three qualifiers, and kept winning. Zheng Qinwen. Elise Mertens. Maria Sakkari. Diana Shnaider. Nine straight matches. One set dropped.
She is now the first qualifier in French Open history to reach the final. The last time a qualifier reached a Grand Slam final, it was Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open. Raducanu won.
By simply making the final, Chwalinska has earned more prize money than her entire career combined. The runner-up cheque alone is $1.6 million. If she wins today, she takes home $3.25 million.
One week ago she couldn't pay for her hotel room.
Congratulations to @Pawankhera
Well deserved Rajya Sabha nomination. Spokespersons are the voice of a party, they deserve to be there more than anyone else.
All the best 👍
before the Nowak incident I must say I have never heard of Sikhs being violent in the streets before and if I did it was extremely rare.
It’s important that we understand that this is a problem with the establishment and the policing policies surrounding white people and this case rather than judging the Sikhs.
The Sikhs I know or have met are mostly clean, hard working and respectful people.
Waah, Nadia, waah.
Classic case of political correctness !!!
Police indeed are responsible as they could have saved Henry’s life.
But what about the actual culprit who stabbed Henry and misled police!!!!
Not a single word of condemnation against the real culprit.
Henry Nowak is the latest victim of a policing system that frequently abuses its power and strips people of their humanity. It is utterly despicable and it is not new.
In one sense, I’m glad that the likes of Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe finally care about police brutality. But their analysis of a “two-tier” policing system (in which the police favours racialised communities at the expense of white people) is a wilful distortion of reality. It is designed to turn us against each other and it lets violent policing off the hook.
Henry Nowak and his family deserve justice. Every victim of police brutality and their families deserve justice.
You want the young officer to sacrifice his life for the love of the Nation, but you don’t want him to express his love for his fiancée.
In the Army we say ‘Youngster nahi karega, toh kaun karega’.
If you can not find a fault in his professional capabilities, don’t do this nuktachini for such a pure gesture of love and belonging.
Military equipment has been on display during many ‘Know your Army’ exhibitions around the country. The students and non military personnel have clicked pics with it showing pride and love for the Army. So, please don’t bring in the national security angle into this.
Let the young soldier do his national duty with pride and honour 👍

#WATCH | Murshidabad, West Bengal: On 60 rebel TMC MLAs, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury says, “We all are aware of the internal condition of the TMC. They wanted to join the BJP but have been rejected as the BJP wants to protect its image. With corruption allegations hanging over them, these MLAs have no other option but to surrender to the BJP…just as Mamata Banerjee once defected from the Congress and pushed it to the brink of collapse, she is now facing a similar fate today…the ‘Eknath Shinde model’ is being implemented in Bengal. I invite all the ordinary workers of all parties, especially of TMC, who want to do something, to come and join Congress. We are ready to welcome you. It’s for the good that all the corrupt elected TMC representatives have indirectly joined the BJP."
Carney leaning into India for trade and strategic partnerships sends the message that Canada is willing to compromise on its sovereignty in exchange for lucrative trade deals. That only emboldens the Indian government and feeds the nationalist narcissism that already shapes much of its political culture. If Liberals really had to choose economy over integrity, then the US was a much better frenemy.
I oppose bulldozer justice but would like to see Yogi Adityanath use it to punish the man who in full public view killed a baby by bashing its head on the street repeatedly. He said he did this because the baby’s mother refused to marry him.
PM Carney tells immigrants to leave behind the feuds of their homelands:
"We don't welcome the world's hatreds"
"When you come to Canada you bring your faith, your tradition, your language, your story - you leave behind your animosities"
