i've gotten too used to laughing off my pain that i actually laughed while my finger was getting stitched. the doctor must've thought i was nuts but it came out involuntarily
do i want to reexperience turning for the first time? thousand times YES but i read it when i needed it most. can't imagine myself being where i am without reading turning in 2024.
the thing is, even if you combine two turning webnovel chapters the count will still be a whooping number of 700+. combine three and you'll get 470+, which is still an insane count for a webnovel. can't really blame new readers (and industry people) for being intimidated
wdym he kissed that hand as he handcuffed him. wdym he sulked when he thought ilay didn't chase him. wdym he felt excited when he heard ilay going all yandere for him. taeui 😭
rereading passion slowly and the manhwa really glossed over how down bad taeui was for ilay. not that kangjak-nim didn't do a good job with the adaptation, but when we're in his head it gets way too on the nose
2025 novels being largely lackluster bcs i was reading turning all the while, unlocking one chapter every day like a madwoman. two novels really stood out nevertheless
2025
- honbul (above average)
- beyond the memories (decent)
- approximal guide (ok)
- there is no sea (dropped)
- night of muheun (above average)
- muryeong's spirit (ok)
- payback (decent)
- guide of the ice castle (ok)
- damn my guide (decent)

when i finished passion, i thought it was a story of taeui's suffering bcs boy he was miserable throughout and it ended when he accepted his love for ilay. then i found out "passion" in the title basically refers to "suffering"
the latest chapter serving unmatched tension i didn't realize i held my breath until the page break 😭 how could a novel still be this good at its 1420th chapter it's been running for more than 5 years 😭
turning really ruined me in how i can't help but to compare the writings and romance 😭 i've read so so many since then and still turning reigns superior
dasim iltae is my fav, followed by suite cw. i didn't like how forced the plot was in ss of passion, though it did bring out some of the best flavours of iltae
well it's really obvious that passion is the blueprint for its genre, given how well written and fleshed-out the characters are. i love long slowburns and this is right up my alley 😭 17 volumes 😭🙏
