I love Indian food and the culture but I just want to be able to breathe and not have my throat burn.

Been in India for the last two months for my Indian wedding and I don't remember the last time I was so sick for such a long time.

I'm tired of wearing a mask.

I see small kids walking on roads with their parents with pollution around them and cannot stop thinking how bad it must be for their young lungs. The kids of this country deserve better.

The tech scene of India is so good. Tech Salaries as good as Europe. Food scene is great as well.

But it all feels worthless with the amount of pollution the cities have.

Feels like everyone living here is paying a hefty pollution tax.

The condition is critically bad and I really hope the Indian Govt realises this soon.

China didn’t clean up the toxic Beijing air out of the goodness of its leaders hearts. They realised that it had become an epic international embarrassment & was bad for business. Everyday that the Prime Minister refuses to speak on the pollution issue - it is a national shame.

This is not leadership, it is cowardice.

There is no "masterstroke" here in waiting for the right moment to speak about this issue. This is not a political problem - people of all parties, ages and gender are affected by it.

If he can do his "Mann ki Baat" every Sunday, if he can talk to children on "Pariksha pe Charcha", he can definitely find some time to speak about air-pollution.

New Delhi is a gas chamber and the Prime Minister's own residence is in New Delhi.

Everyone understands that things can't change overnight, but his words and attention to this issue will move the needle substantially.

Policy moves needs to be communicated, bureaucrats need to be given targets and it needs monitoring at the highest levels.

Reports say around 17,000 people died in Delhi alone in 1 year on account on air pollution. The total deaths from terrorism in the last year was around 50.

India has gone to war with Pakistan, and is on the verge of eliminating Naxal terrorism.

When is it going to address air-pollution on a war footing?
