🚨💣 | Sandro Tonali to Manchester United. 🔴👀

CONTEXT:

Sandro Tonali is now emerging as the NUMBER ONE midfield target for Manchester United and Michael Carrick heading into the summer window. 📊🔥

United have been in constant contact with Tonali’s camp since early March, with personal terms not viewed as an issue at all. A 5-year contract has already been discussed between the parties. 🤝✍️

Interestingly, it’s understood Carrick has personally spoken with the player, with Tonali feeling a strong connection towards the project and the direction United want to move in. 👀

The main obstacle remains the fee.

United are prepared to structure a deal in the region of £60m plus add-ons, potentially rising towards £65m-£70m, while Newcastle United internally value Tonali significantly higher closer to £80m-£100m. 💰

United believe negotiations will be needed to bring that valuation down.

There is also a feeling internally at United that, with Tonali not involved in the World Cup due to Italy not qualifying, this creates a major opportunity to secure a marquee signing early in the summer. 🇮🇹⏳

Tonali is understood to be very open to the move, with the midfielder believing United could be the perfect destination due to the planned role, game time and long-term vision presented to him. 🔴

Sandro Tonali and his representatives are currently in Italy, and as reported by @KrrishFT , fresh talks are expected to begin again soon in an attempt to fully finalise the player side before progressing club-to-club discussions similar to how United approached the Éderson deal. 👀🔥
