I couldn't find a Catholic program a regular parent could teach from on day one, so I'm building one.

Little Summa Classroom: daily lessons with quizzes and slides, a free track, Holy Moley trivia, and parents in charge. No analytics. Nothing sold.

Build log, Oct 19. Quiet day, steady work and planning. Still open: the Quest scroll bug. Testers: https://t.co/4mS3NY8mUR

Build log, Oct 18. Little Summa got a Daily Mass page with each day's feast and Gospel, plus two remote fixes in the Fire TV tester build. SummaSocial messages are now invite-only beta while we test. Still open: the Quest scroll bug. Next up.

@JoeRoganRecaps So she lived in the slums of Calcutta in a tiny cell for money? Cool story bro?

[Joseph Richter @summasocial19]

Build log, Oct 17. Little Summa got the Seven Sorrows chaplet with a pray-along, spare saint cards kids can give within the family, and steadier rewards sync across devices. Broke: a Quest bug can drop a scroll on reload. Fixing that next.

Starting tomorrow I'll post a short progress note every day: what got built, what broke, what's next. Follow along, and tell me plainly what you'd change.

[Joseph Richter @summasocial19]

Two things I'm building:

SummaSocial, a Catholic public square.
Little Summa, a free Catholic app for kids.

Here's what each one is, plainly. 🧵

[Joseph Richter @summasocial19]

Little Summa opens the First Sunday of Advent, Nov 29. Before then I need about 20 families to test it on Android, iPhone or Fire TV.

@MattTowey2 Twenty years sacrificing for Catholic school—respect. I’m a Catholic dad building Little Summa (free kids app + free Pre-K–8 homeschool) to help families keep the faith at home too. Would mean a lot if you’d test it: https://t.co/4mS3NY8UKp Are you on Android?

[Joseph Richter @summasocial19]

@CanAmSuperShow @ValVenisEnt Dad of three with a son in catechism and a wife who teaches at a Catholic school—that's the house I'm building for. Little Summa is a free kids' app with saint stories and prayers. On Android? Would you test it? https://t.co/4mS3NY8UKp

@PorscheMajor Ha—Alani mixing up Mary and Little Red Riding Hood is peak kindergarten Catholic. I'm a dad building Little Summa, a free app with Bible & saint stories for little ones. Looking for Android families to test before Advent: https://t.co/4mS3NY8mUR

@davestevearch @JayKranda @GraceAndTech Thanks so much for the shout-out, Dave! Means a lot from a fellow builder. God bless you and your work. If you know any Catholic families on Android, the tester sign-up is still open: https://t.co/4mS3NY8UKp

@amywelborn2 "Without mincing her words" is a good rule for teaching kids the saints too. I'm a Catholic dad building Little Summa, a free app where Mule the rabbit reads kids Bible and saint stories. Your eye on it would mean a lot. Are you on Android? https://t.co/4mS3NY8mUR
