Mature love looks like:
1. Asking for what you want, directly
2. Accepting that your partner can't meet every need
3. Encouraging a partner to do things that makes them feel fulfilled
4. Learning how to have difficult conversations
5. Taking responsibility for how you react when upset
6. Giving and taking space as needed
7. Creating stability through doing what you say you'll do
I always refer to her as my twitter therapist but truly no joke, she has improved my life so much already in helping me understand my thoughts and emotions.
I suggest following her (Dr.LePera) if you’re looking to mature emotionally and gain insight daily x
idk who needs to hear this…but being able to communicate your desire for closeness, being able to sustain deep, healthy and long-lasting connections, being comfortable with intimacy and not fearing vulnerability does not make you needy: it makes you emotionally available.
While the honeymoon stage is exciting — the real fun is what happens after it. When you get to know one another while being your entirely human selves. Building a life together, and having that one person who always feels like home. Magnificence of finding your person.
How the subconscious mind projects meaning onto everything we experience based on core beliefs. Our work, is to return to objective reality or conscious awareness...
I love people who make others feel seen, heard, appreciated, supported & loved. People with pure intentions & gorgeous hearts. The rare gems who make you feel deeply understood, give you total freedom to be yourself & make you feel beautiful in your own skin just for being YOU.
We project parts of ourselves that we struggle to accept or that we aren’t yet consciously aware of onto others. Pay attention to how people talk about the people in their lives— it speaks volumes about who they are.
People do the best they can with the level of consciousness they have. This is why expanding consciousness (or perception) is so important. The wider our perception, the greater our understanding of ourselves and other people. In short: know better, do better
Incase no one told you: you aren’t here to live, work, endlessly seek validation, and to be approved of by everyone. The more authentic you are, the less approval you’ll get. Have the courage to not be for everyone and watch how much better life gets.
@Theholisticpsyc That you will be much happier when you are within and you are not responsible for someone else’s actions. The real growth will come with us being ok with uncomfortable situations and scenarios. I continue to work on that every single day.
We are a work in a progress always!!
@Theholisticpsyc That’s such an interesting thought and so true, from a very young age we condition ourselves and people around us to be a certain way while everyone should be able to be whoever they want to be, thank Dr. Nicole for the great work you do everyday 😊💯
