@gazmcghee All existing APIs will keep working after the upgrade. The only current limitation is that CMEK and Field ACLs are not yet supported in Log Analytics, support for which is coming soon.

I'm very excited to announce the GA launch of Log Analytics in @googlecloud. You can analyze large volume of logs in #CloudLogging using SQL queries with no additional costs!

Introducing Log Analytics, a powerful and affordable solution to analyze logs at scale, leveraging the power of #GoogleCloud and #bigquery@googlecloud https://t.co/MEpwHwO9kr
@kelseyhightower@davidfowl It’s definitely a challenge for clients. There’s only so much you can push from a single host. Prioritizing by severity or log type sounds like the right approach.
@thomcheezy85 Hi Thomas, What do your requirements look like in terms of ingesting old logs? I would love to understand more of your use case, and see if we can still serve you.
@hab_mic Is 100% sampling overwhelming for many clients rather than in the server side? Trace backends can scale up more easily than clients, which may be more resource constrained. Is that also what you have seen?
