New: Summoners, my browser based fantasy card game, has a new logo ⚔️🧙♂️
Talented artist Ave made a 3D model of the wordmark and added the lighting and portal fx.
More to come soon at @summonersio
Last weekend I made a silly combo game based on the watermelon game. You can play it in your browser.
It goes:
🐓🐼🐊🐻🦒🦭🐘🐋
I learned a lot about React Three Fiber — which I am really enjoying. The R3F ecosystem is pretty amazing.
If you'd like to try it out, it's at zoodrop io. Let me know if you get a double orca!
Finally! I added multiplayer to my browser-based WebGL card game, Summoners.
Multiplayer is a really common request. You pick your deck and then send the URL to a friend. They can join even if they don't have an account. It's free to play and live on the site now.
I built the multiplayer system using websockets and @flydotio servers. It's working great so far but drop any bugs in the @summonersio discord. 🙏
🪄 Happy gaming ⚔️
Top inspiration and where I've spent the most time . . . everquest, wow, warcraft, starcraft, red alert 2, quake 3, slay the spire, splatoon, mario, zelda . . . what's your list?
Average playtime per session is 20 minutes for the last 24 hours!
Big increase. The new buildings are making things more interesting. I'm also seeing folks play multiple complete games in a row for the first time. Feels like progress.
@Demruth@stimhacked > Play however you find fun
I love playing shiv spam so I just accept 1/3 games is a loss. But also I think that's maybe a chance for new design. I'd rather have that info and get forced to make a different build earlier. It'd make me branch out more.
@Demruth@stimhacked Haha exactly – I think in reality that information comes just a little too late. But it's such a micro-optimization that it speaks to the quality of the game. Also maybe I should just get good :D
