Been getting some questions on how high school golf is scored. Here is a breakdown.

After a great season by the boys, they finish 3rd place in the State Championship. Fun season and a good way to end it.

First day of the League Tournament down. Boys are leading the tournament by 9. Sophomore Brock Maulding is in 1st place with a 71 (-1) and Senior Ryan Engstrom is in 2nd place with a 72 (E), representing Sumner very well. Day 2 of the Tournament is on Monday.

Boys record is now 8-0, and Girls are sitting at 4-4

Boys take the W against GK today with a final score of 194-237. Senior Ryan Engstrom and Sophomores Brock Maulding and Tyson Arthur all tie for the low at 38 (+2). Girls also win with a final score of 47-39. Sophomore Gianna Wagner leads the Sparts with 14 points.

The Boys team wins a close one against Rodgers. Senior Ryan Engstrom was the low of the match with a 35 (-1). Final score Sumner-189 Rodgers-196. Girls golf loses to Rodgers 79-52. Sophomore Gianna Wagner with the most points with 17.

Boys move to 5-0 and girls 2-3

Boys golf takes the win over South Kitsap 193-223. @BrockMaulding was the low of the match with a 35(-1) Girls golf gets their second win of the season winning 34-27. Gianna Wagner had the most points for Sumner with 10.

Got the league scores late last night. Want to give a big shout out to our lady golfers! Finished #3 in league play with a 5-3 record and backed that up with a 5th place finish and team total 407 in the league tournament. Proud of these ladies!
