NHRC, India takes suo motu cognizance of the reported parading of three persons in a semi-nude condition by police in Kolkata, West Bengal

An organization which don't register themselves in India, register themselves at US for lobbying!

[Clifton D' Rozario @clifroz]

Rather suspectful when an organisation operating in India will register itself to official scrutiny in the United States of America, but will not register itself in India. While at it, why would it do something like this - is it more accountable to America?

[SS #Andolanjeevi #SaabYaadRakhaJayega @sumonseng]

We should also ask the Home Ministry & @ECISVEEP how many foreigners were detected in #Bengal & #Bihar!
I strongly remember what Amit Shah answered to a journalist of @MyAnandaBazar when he asked about the data!

[Jairam Ramesh @Jairam_Ramesh]

The Home Minister had said that SIR had a 3D objective: to detect, delete and deport infiltrators so as to ‘purify’ the electoral rolls.

What has SIR actually accomplished?

In the six states of Karnataka, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Kerala, Goa and Mizoram, just 1600 foreigners belonging to different countries have been “detected and deleted”. Nearly 10 crore people went through the SIR in these states – to find 1600 “foreigners”.

The other 20 states and UTs did not provide data because the ECI had not asked for any such data to be collected. Clearly the Home Minister was lying.

In Karnataka, where 99.7 lakh names have been deleted, 716 foreign nationals were identified of whom 545 are from Nepal.

This only proves what has been evident all along: that SIR was always intended for ensuring that very large sections of Indians have their constitutional right to vote snatched away.

SIR was a conspiracy designed by the PM-HM duo and executed by the CEC through various means including ECINET.

· Gyanesh Kumar has to go.

· SIR has to be suspended.

· ECINET has to be revamped.

INTERESTING: my colleague @ashoupadhyay asked for details from Home Ministry on how many people/organisations had been identified as ‘Dimagi Naxals’ . Answer from Home ministry? NIL!😊

It's high time the #SupremeCourt questions the decision & intentions of some judges of the same court!

[Vulpine @don_vulpine]

Supreme Court Judge himself said Logical discrepancy category, used only in Bengal #SIR to remove millions of mapped voters , is illegal !!!! They themselves are admitting to allowing illegal tactics to remove voters ! what does this say about judiciary & Supreme Court ???

[SS #Andolanjeevi #SaabYaadRakhaJayega @sumonseng]

#SIR was repeatedly been sold as an exercise to identify “illegal foreigners”. Data from at least six states shows only 1,600 found in a combined electorate of over 98 million. The HM also didn't give clear figures about how many foreigners were identified in #BengalSIR

[Seema Chishti @seemay]

The non-enrolment ratio of Gen-Z voters in UP in 2024 was the highest amongst major states - 40%!
Highest than UP has also had historically.
This and other causes for concern re fairness in UP Assembly polls @_YogendraYadav Jean Dreze

[SS #Andolanjeevi #SaabYaadRakhaJayega @sumonseng]

Sometimes half truth is more dangerous than lie. Yesterday CM #SubhenduAdhikary said that Ex CM didn't want Mandirs to be set up in Bengal while the truth is Buddhadeb Bhattacharya said in #Bengal politics of #Religion & politics of #MandirMasjid won't be tollerated.

[SS #Andolanjeevi #SaabYaadRakhaJayega @sumonseng]

The @ECISVEEP & the then CEO West Bengal will have to explain who gave the instructions to delete names in #BengalSIR even if they were cleared by Judiciary? It's not only #GyaneshKumar all of them will have to face the consequences!

কার নির্দেশে নাম বাদ? দায় এড়িয়ে গেলে চলবে না।

[SS #Andolanjeevi #SaabYaadRakhaJayega @sumonseng]

@ECISVEEP If @ECISVEEP had introduced a separate FORM for voters whose names were deleted from the draft electoral roll, it would have had to acknowledge their mistakes and the need for greater due diligence in the process.
PS : The SC know all this but still didn't #StopSIR
2/2

[SS #Andolanjeevi #SaabYaadRakhaJayega @sumonseng]

Why do the @ECISVEEP want the deleted voters to fill #Form6?

The ECI does not want to acknowledge that a large number of voters may have been deleted due to its carelessness, or failure due to #LogicalDiscrepencies for the required diligence in conducting the #SIR. 1/2

If these two arrangements were allowed by Supreme Court then why can't it be said that J Bagchi's role in #BengalElections is also under question? The opposition is wasting time in knocking their doors. Instead they should concentrate on mass Movement & mobilisation against ECI.

[Vulpine @don_vulpine]

" deleted voters can cast vote in next election "

" logical discrepancy as a category has no legality , it was allowed as an interim arrangement "

Scrap SIR Campaign!. For this Campaign to Gain Credibility the Political Opposition needs to Give Faces & Names to the Tragedy of Exclusion:
1. Bihar 47 lakh persons Excluded from Rolls-Let's see the Names and Faces of 10-20,000
2. West Bengal 91 Lakh Persons could not Vote? Show Us the Names & faces of 20-30,000!
3. Karnataka: 99.3 lakh (at least) Deleted from SIR Roll! Bring Forward 25,000!
4. Tamil Nadu: Over 74 lakh deleted from SIR Roll: Let's See Names & faces of 20,000!
Imagine if the November 1, 2026 Rally showcases these Indians who are Disenfranchised! That is how Millions will be Inspired to Back the Opposition. @RahulGandhi @yadavakhilesh @MamataOfficial @mkstalin @DKShivakumar
