I am thrilled to announce that my collection of the Boss brand "Sumo Wrestler" coffee cans (大相撲×BOSS) is finally complete! It took some time and quite a few trips to the convenience stores, but seeing the whole lineup together is incredibly satisfying.
Each can features a unique design celebrating the power and tradition of Japan's national sport. For a fan of Sumo, these aren't just coffee cans—they are great little pieces of memorabilia that capture the spirit of the dohyo.
This special promotion, which launched nationwide on February 2026, celebrates Suntory BOSS Coffee becoming an official sponsor of the Japan Sumo Association. The campaign is centered around the theme of "supporting the hidden strength of those who work hard," drawing a parallel between the grit of a sumo wrestler and the daily grind of the modern worker.

The first ones I got were the Waka brothers (Cafe au Lait). The last five were from a special Premium BOSS series that I couldn’t find anywhere in my area, so I had to look for them online.
The closest place I hunted was right by my apartment; the furthest was Hinocho in Shiga Prefecture. I was there for work, but I ended up heading back to the office with more than 10 new cans! My boss wasn’t happy, but my eyes were sparkling.

@HeylookPotato There is the banzuke elo view but no real chart... yet!
I also just found out about https://t.co/4ccQicY54w last week, they have some cool glicko elo charts!
Okay almost finished adding the kabu history stuff!
And added a link for the h2h stats that takes you to the compare page more easily.
Querying... I am still thinking how to do it better without having a giant query constructor form (although this seems hard to beat; even if it is scary to new users)
@Hakkeyoi_Sumo What happened? But I am totally not surprised... I have been hoping a better replacement for reddit would appear for the past 5+ years now 😅
@t_griffin55@SumoZeki@hauntingangel13@justelfr Aaah yeah someone mentioned this before but I didn't quite get it... I was just assuming doten == jun-yusho
Thanks for pointing it out, I will fix this!
@SumoZeki@hauntingangel13@justelfr Yeah this page is still a work in progress... (added the compare button to the rikishi page so its easier to find now) Not exactly sure what to show on this page still though

@hauntingangel13@justelfr@SumoZeki I wake up sometimes and need to check my data against sumodb just to make sure sometimes 🤣
But lemme know if I don't have some data you need and I'll get it for you
@BootyBowlChamp I went last time and could the impacts and had a rikishi fly by me but you aren't allowed to eat or drink ringside... so if you are there for a long time... 💀
