Follow us on a path of enlightenment. Follow us into the holy halls of the @TheUKEL. Follow us, as we test just how good @GoodChiGG's chi really is. Follow us, this time offstream, for a battle of faith is a battle best left outside of the common mans eye...
HEATWAVE UPDATE
Due to the heatwave, we have made a decision to not create a picture for our 0:2 loss to bulldogs.
We feel that it would be extremely dangerous to draw in Paint. So in the interest of health for our two-man creative division, we will be cancelling all posts.
Some days ranch life just ain’t easy. Watch us do the hardest thing a fella can do, as life demands us to be doin' what needs doin'. Watch us sittin' on the porch after takin' out old yeller @_BulldogEsports behind the barn in the @TheUKEL tomorrow with the help of @SupGizmo.
The crossword comes back as unsolveable and Mr. Seacow swims off unsatisfied into the sunset as the unnable team 2:0's us. He'll be back next week, reliving his glory days once more. @ABSOLVEDGG@TheUKEL
Can you help Mister Seacow solve his crossword? His resolve is tested trying to dissolve this conundrum of who their next enemy could be.....
'Lost 2:0 to Brod, 8 Letters'
We'll get Mr. Gizmo (@SupGizmo) on the rift to find out together, tomorrow in @TheUKEL.
Deciding to split the difference, the scoundrels of @TheBandits_ reluctantly swayed us to a 1:1 score in todays @TheUKEL match. We will be back next week when the fins of justice seek retribution against the foul and unjust.
There’s a good reason why G2 is the top org in EU.
But there’s a big misconception in esports orgs about our role as performance coaches.
First of all, nothing beats hours of training and dedication to the craft. Pure and simple, you can have the best coaches in the world, if you are not putting the hours you will not be good.
When a player loves what they do and commits mindfully (min 8h per day), they’re far more likely to succeed. There’s absolute no secret.
(That’s why scouting is 70% of the job during a season, and orgs that don’t integrate performance coaches into this process are completely missing out.)
As performance coaches, our job is to maximize a player’s potential by aligning with their values and goals, not by changing the identity that defines them.
Yes, we educate players on healthy habits.
Yes, we optimize timing for meals, sleep, and more.
Yes, we support players by listening to them and finding solutions
But imposing rigid, PhD-level theories & lectures directly on players is counterproductive.
Players aren’t robots, and human performance isn’t a code to program.
The favorite phrase of a performance coach should be “It depends”, because each player’s values and goals are unique.
We are coaches, not scientists.
And this is some key aspect that many orgs still don’t fully understand.
