@ACrocker4312 @misshaywoodECT It's because of the lack of funding that there is no money in the budgets for basic resources. That is what our government is doing. The unfunded pay rise takes from the children, even less resources for them! This isn't okay.
@macjay72@CollectiveMemo So, who plans the lessons for the children, or are we just happy to send them off for 6 hours a day to twiddle their thumbs? How is that any better than the proposed strikes, other than parents will have a babysitting service?
@hmsmfc @fragmeister12 https://t.co/NBVnwn117s join teachers and school staff, sounds like they've got it easy according to you. Why wouldn't you want to do it? Full salary, quarter of the year off, sounds great!
@Watson77Karen Currently, there's a shortage of school staff all over the nation, because of this, school staff are going beyond their own job role, for the children's education. With a now lack of resources from majorly underfunded schools. It's the government's fault, not the teachers.
@Watson77Karen Without proper funding, how do you propose your child gets educated? The pay rise that was offered was unfunded, which meant it came from the already small school budget, which means that's being taken directly from your children & for the resources they need at school.
@theoldmanfury@SamLoinsLyon It's such a shame you seem to be so passionate about something you're so ignorant about. You could be making far better arguments if only you took the time to find out more about what you're arguing against.
@theoldmanfury@SamLoinsLyon Strike in August, would you strike on a day you're not in work? Do you understand the definition of striking? It's the government ruining the children's education not teachers. FYI paid pro rata dear, that means we're not paid for our holidays, our wage gets spread over 12 months
@mills78ta @TheAnxiousTeac2 So what's the answer Neil? Do we pay teachers fairly & support them with the massive work loads & make teaching an appealing profession, so we may get new trainees and be able to retain them, or do we bash them for standing up for what is right long term for the children?
@5_O_Clox_Shadow@swiftscheetah That's sort of, part of, why the strikes are happening. By the government not funding any pay rises, the money is being directly taken from the children, particularly SEND children like your daughter who may need more resources than others.
@mills78ta @TheAnxiousTeac2 So the teachers that are left should be more overworked, tired and burned out than they already are due to increasing work loads, to then have more piled on top of them because there's no new teachers? Do we really want knackered teachers teaching our children?
@mills78ta @TheAnxiousTeac2 Then what happens? Teachers leave, people training to teach are down in numbers, teacher retainment is a problem. Who teaches the children when there are no teachers?
@charliestone666@babymaps_@Martin96852182 It isn't, it's having more & more expected of you every year. Its doing more than your own job role because of a lack of staffing. If you think you can do it & manage your time well, join us, it's not too late https://t.co/NBVnwn117s
