Die scheinbare Ewigkeit bis zum finalen Treffer. Die förmliche Explosion von Kennedys Schädel, bei der eine rote Masse nach hinten oben wegspritzt. Jackie Kennedy, die nach hinten klettert. Der Bodyguard des Secret Service, der den Wagen laufend erreicht. Und der Fahrer, der sich erst zu Kennedy umdreht und dann aufs Gas steigt, woraufhin die Todeslimousine unter einer Unterführung verschwindet.
Diese Bildfolge hat sich ins kollektive Gedächtnis eingebrannt.
Es sind die Bilder, die ein Herr mittleren Alters, der Textilunternehmer Abraham Zapruder, am 22. November 1963 auf der Dealey-Plaza in Dallas mit seiner 8 mm Bell & Howell Zoomatic aufgenommen hat.
Der Zapruderfilm ist das bedeutendste Beweismittel des Kennedy-Attentats.
