NACIN ZTI, Mumbai, on 20th August, 2026 commenced the Orientation Training Programme for Second Batch of 59 Preventive Officers of Customs, Mumbai Zone, promoted from the cadres of Executive Assistant and Stenographer, at NACIN Campus, ZTI, Mumbai.

The inaugural session was graced by Shri Durgesh Salunke, Addl. Director, NACIN Mumbai, who encouraged the officers to uphold integrity, professionalism, and public service in advancing trade facilitation, border security, and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The Orientation Programme will cover Customs laws, GST, investigation, trade facilitation, technology-driven Customs administration, field attachment, and concludes with Arms & Drill Training.

#cbic_save_us Having the same qualification and cleared the same exam (SSC-CGLE) but a few marks made a huge difference in the pay scales between TA and Inspector. Now even years of first promotion too (2 years & 10 years) is Truly unfair for CBIC Tax Assistants.

Respected CBIC, both Inspector & TA come frm d same exm. Bt a TA bound to live with 2400 gp whereas inspector gets 4600 gp. Same exm bt huge difference.Nevertheless u hv further increased the promotion period frm 3yr to 10yr. Plz show sm empathy.GiveOTR @cbic_india @mppchaudhary
