It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.

I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.

This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था में शांतिपूर्ण अनशन केवल विरोध का माध्यम नहीं, बल्कि शासन की संवेदनशीलता की भी परीक्षा होती है. यदि कोई नागरिक अपने विश्वास और अधिकारों के लिए जीवन दांव पर लगाकर अनशन कर रहा हो, तो राज्य का प्रथम दायित्व संवाद, सहानुभूति और समाधान का होना चाहिए.

राज्य की भूमिका केवल शासक की नहीं, बल्कि एक अभिभावक की भी होती है. जिस प्रकार माता-पिता अपने बच्चों की पीड़ा को समझने का प्रयास करते हैं, उसी प्रकार सरकार से भी अपेक्षा की जाती है कि वह अपने नागरिकों के साथ सम्मानजनक संवाद करे, चाहे मतभेद कितने भी गहरे क्यों न हों. किसी भी लोकतंत्र की वास्तविक शक्ति विरोध को दबाने में नहीं, बल्कि उसे सुनने और संवेदनशीलता से उसका उत्तर देने में निहित है.

सोनम वांगचुक के अनशन ने एक बार फिर ये प्रश्न उठाया है कि लोकतांत्रिक असहमति के प्रति राज्य का उत्तर टकराव नहीं, बल्कि विश्वास, संवाद और मानवीय संवेदना होना चाहिए

मैं एक अज्ञात पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष नितिन जी को 49 साल से जानता हूं, उनकी सादगी और भोलेपन की कहानी दुनिया कम जानती है। खुद उन्हें कुछ महीने पहले ही पता चला कि उनके पिताजी विधायक रहे हैं।

मुझे आज भी याद है कि 1986 में पहाड़गंज के पास Garstin Bastion रोड़ के एक 4x6 कमरे में हमारे 16 दोस्त एक ही चारपाई पर सोते थे। नितिन सबसे नीचे बिना करवट लिए पूरी रात दबा पड़ा रहता था, उसके हाथ में एक लंबा बाँस दे दिया जाता था, जिससे वो पूरी रात छत पे लगे दो पंखड़ियों वाले पंखे को घुमाता था।

जब अमीर घरों के लड़के महंगे जिम में व्यायाम कर रहे होते थे, हमारा नीतिनवा सड़क पर लोगों के पर्स छीनकर भागता था ताकि कार्डियो कर सके।

साउथ दिल्ली की एक संभ्रांत कन्या हमारे नीतिनवा की सादगी पर फिदा हो गई। उसने एक बार गिफ्ट में फेरेरो रोचर चॉकलेट गिफ्ट में दी तो हमारे नितिन भाई उन्हें सोने का सिक्का समझकर सुनार की दुकान पर बेचने चले गए ताकि दोस्तों के लिए दलिया और सत्तू खरीद सकें।

हमारे दोस्तों का कोई भी झगड़ा होता था, उसको नितिन ही निपटवाता था। झगड़ने वाले दोनों पक्ष अंत में मिलकर नितिन को ही कूट देते थे और अपना गुस्सा शांत कर लेते थे।

नितिन की ये सब यादें आज भी हमारे दिल में हैं, यूँही कोई नितिन नहीं बन जाता। छोटी सी खटिया से उठकर देश की राजनीति में खलबली मचा दी है हमारे नितिन ने।
