I’ve dealt with people’s projections since childhood. I’ve been disliked by women for merely existing, for being reserved, for the attention I naturally get from people. It’s always been that way. A valuable life lesson I learned is to return people back their stuff they try to place on you, never trade the capacity of your existence for what doesn’t belong to you. That’s how you dim yourself. You don’t have to carry people’s projections, their insecurities, their internal chaos, their judgements or anything else for that matter. The weight is too heavy. Many in this world do not give themselves permission to take up space, let alone know the value of their existence without having to perform for others. Don’t be one of them. Get comfortable with being disliked for your mere existence, with taking up space and owning every room you walk in. Nobody gets to take that from you. Let people deal with their own ish.
