SFD-700 v1.2 - Latest update. A Floppy Disk Drive interface with embedded Rom Filing System to extend the Monitor command line and fast boot common apps (Basic, CPM etc). Specification includes 512K FlashROM and 512K Static RAM.
New board works and tested in an MZ-80A, MZ-700, MZ-1500, MZ-2000 and should work in all other MZ series machines.
Advantage of this design is for MZ-80A/MZ-700's it incorporates RFS (https://t.co/jbxLdv1IaQ) which is undergoing porting and enhancement including a Z80 assembler/debugger and 512K RAM pages into the region E300:FFFF in 4K blocks on demand.
Will look at the MZ-1500 once the MZ-80A/MZ-700 RFS updates are complete, I should be able to enhance this great machine too.
Decided to use a CPLD rather than 2 GAL's, price break is the same and gives more flexibility.
@FremenHlide I have no plans to make and sell the Pico due to work constraints but will publish all the code, circuits etc to github.
The default mode will be a vanilla Z80 and should work in an MZ80K. Code is written in C++ so adding virtual hardware is just instantiating another object.

In the Sharp MZ-80A/MZ-700 machines, the tzpuPico will onboard RFS/TZFS hardware emulation, SD card filesystem and WiFi IoT Webserver with file upload.
Lots of potential, small steps first!
tranZPUter Pico
Latest in my tranZPUter series, a Z80 drop in replacement offering:
RAM 2.5MB
ROM 4MB
SD CARD > 64GB
ESP32 S3 @ 240MHz running redcode's Z80 C Emulation.
WiFi / Bluetooth
Interesting #Kicad 7 workflow for git that builds automatically all fabrication files like Gerbers, BOM etc and deploys that on a website
