2/2 all algorithms dramatically improved when sample size increased from 100 to 1000. Improvement was smaller, but still significant, when sample size increased from 1000 to 5000 subjects. KRR was competitive at all sample sizes.

1/4 New preprint (https://t.co/bBzJZs1cNU) with @tangsy93 @SunNanbo@DoriFloris & Adriana Di Martino. Autism is well-known to be heterogeneous, but (categorical) subtypes miss out on continuous (dimensional) inter-individual variation. So we used a Bayesian model to ...

Global signal regression (GSR) is highly controversial: it's great at removing global artifacts, but introduces negative correlations, etc
Preprint: https://t.co/kZrpYlgPLF We compare kernel regression with deep neural networks (DNNs) for functional connectivity behavioral prediction using ~10,000 participants. Hint: DNNs do not perform better

https://t.co/sVKjwvjWrD We found 3 atrophy patterns that predict memory, language & executive function in late-onset AD. Results replicate in 2nd dataset. Atrophy-cognitive patterns were correlated with PET Tau spatial patterns in MCI participants @SunNanbo Beth Mormino @mertrory
