Success is loud....
But failure whispers the real lessons....
Steve Jobs was fired from Apple, the company he founded.
Warren Buffett (The greatest investor of modern times) was rejected by Harvard.
Kobe Bryant was passed over by 12 teams.
The Beatles were told they had “no future in show business” on New Year’s Day.
Idris Elba slept in a van and worked as a doorman between auditions.
Brian Acton was turned down by Facebook, he later sold WhatsApp to them for $19 billion.
Amazon’s stock lost 95% of its value during the dot-com crash.
Blockbuster laughed when Netflix was offered to them for $50 million.
These weren’t success stories.
Not at first.
They were rejection stories. Survival stories. Comeback stories.
And that’s what fascinates me. Maybe because I have failed too many times.
As Nietzsche said:
"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."
We think success comes from being chosen.
But often, it comes from choosing yourself, after everyone else says no.
The next time you’re overlooked, dismissed, or underestimated
Remember: The world’s greatest victories were forged in silence, not celebration.
