many people talk about how bsd has no actual plot but in my opinion i think thats the entire point of the story.
all characters have different dreams, and there are no collective goals to achieve. many characters wander and they dont necessary fight for anything they want.
ANYWAYS THIS THREAD TURNED OUT NOT TO BE MINI. i apologize i have too many thoughts and studying for my eg exam just a few days ago clearly did not help.
thank you for reading tho!! i’ll continue to analyse the rest of the book too…
finished prologue and ch1 and i have some thoughts, mini 🧵 :
reading from odas perspective is VERY fascinating. we get so much more on how he thinks and feels compared to the anime, and this is already better. so much better MY JAW DROPPED.
which tells us and makes sense of why oda was so concerned for him. as it ‘burned into’ his eyes, it’s indicative that oda would likely not forget this view.
from this, asagiri tells us here we should not forget too, that dazai is only a child that had to mature too early.
