THANK YOU! We're almost halfway to our goal of $3K to help a dedicated Sunrise LA organizer buy his first car!
If you'd like to help us get closer to our goal, please donate here: https://t.co/BGhN8jwdRE
Your support not only helps provide the necessary resources for his efforts but also ensures that youth-led organizing continues to grow and thrive in the fight against the climate crisis.
Thank you for your generosity and solidarity.

Let’s be clear — prioritizing working-class Angelenos is not a political agenda. Trying to keep people in their homes as we continue to battle an ongoing housing and homelessness crisis is not an attempt to score some political points.

Our action might be wrapping up, but we’re not going anywhere.
Thank you to all the elected officials, organizations, and community members to came out to support.
Together we will end the era of fossil fuels and make polluters pay for climate damage.
No matter what Donald Trump says, the fact is that his Administration is made up of billionaires, for billionaires.
He doesn’t care about working people.
They’ll have no problem watching us burn as they keep turning profits.
Dr. King called out racism, economic exploitation, and militarism as the 'three evils of society.'
This MLK Day, miss me with the sanitized quotes and honor his real legacy: dismantling the systems that oppress and building the beloved community he envisioned.
Donald Trump's inauguration today is a coronation of our country's descent into oligarchy.
Billionaires & corporations spending hundreds of millions of dollars lining the pockets of another billionaire—now President—to usher in a presidency governed for and by the wealthy elite.
We are demanding Phillips 66 and other fossil fuel companies pay $200 billion to rebuild LA.
Big Oil profits while LA burns. It doesn’t have to be this way. Join Sunrise LA or find your local Sunrise hub near you to take action and make them pay.
We shouldn’t have to lose our childhood homes so billionaires can make bank. CEOs like Mark Lashier of Phillips 66 make $37 million and $18 million annually to churn out profit while our homes burn down as collateral.
That’s not okay

Come out and join us at 4 PM as we celebrate the third day of our action and call for polluters to pay for the climate damage they’ve caused in LA!
See you there
The @SunriseMvmtLA occupation at Phillips 66 is still going strong.
Dozens camped out last night and aren't leaving until they get a meeting with Phillips 66's uber-rich CEO to talk about companies like Phillips paying to rebuild LA.
They caused the fires, they should pay.
Fossil Fuel Billionaires have known for decades that they’re causing the climate crisis.
We are paying the price. That’s why we’re occupying the Phillips 66 facility to demand Big Oil pay $200 billion to fund the recovery.
Polluters gotta pay up.
The California fires erupted amid extremely dry conditions. UCLA scientists say extreme heat linked to climate change was a factor in the fires' intensity. https://t.co/MtcKYjeV14
Our Demands Are Clear: Big Oil needs to face the consequences of their actions and pay $200 billion dollars to fund disaster recovery and resiliency efforts. They sacrificed our homes for their profits - they MUST to foot the bill to get us out.
We won’t let fossil fuel billionaires burn our homes for profit. We’re fighting for our homes and communities. We’re not going anywhere til our demands are met.
HAPPENING NOW ‼️ As historic wildfires continue to rage in Los Angeles, dozens of young people — including many who evacuated from the fires — are occupying the Phillips 66 Fossil Fuel Facility to demand Phillips 66 and other oil companies pay for the recovery.
Residents affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles and across Southern California are eligible to apply for federal assistance at https://t.co/EiwEAaA4IN or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
Los Angeles is burning. Entire neighborhoods have been wiped off the map. We are devastatingly unprepared for the climate that fossil fuel greed is creating.
Last November the people of California voted to pass a climate resilience bond with 1.5 billion in wildfire mitigation funds. Nearly every Republican voted not to put it on the ballot and many openly campaigned against it.
It was Prop 4 on the ballot
