@LBC@mrjamesob > Diplomatic premises, like homes and schools, are considered "civilian objects" under international law, and they are not permissible as targets unless they are used for a military purpose.

@MilanHojdar @NikaMelkozerova Not really. Communism is utopia, without money, property and social classes. at no point USSR was anything like that. they did try to scrap money at some point but not for long. This does check every single mark though:

@Nicolas83530513 @NikaMelkozerova it's quite opposite really. it's more like when russian dude calls themselves "true scotsman" and then entire world for some reason starts saying that all scottish people are in fact russian.
@Vitainmyhead @NikaMelkozerova ✅ dictatorial leader
✅ centralized autocracy
✅ militarism
✅ suppression of opposition
✅ natural social hierarchy
✅ percieve good > individual interests
✅ regimentation of society and the economy
@DsSvetlov @gabrichidze @NikaMelkozerova Democracy may fail when people stop giving a shit. Happened in russia, kinda happening in the US as well by the same scenario btw, when people are actively encouraged to not give a shit.
@gabrichidze @DsSvetlov @NikaMelkozerova Orwell was literally calling himself a "democratic socialist". Also British labour was and is a democratic party. Unlike russian commies, who were talking about dictatorship from start. The democracy is a key. No democracy - no socialism, regardless of what they call themselves
@gabrichidze @DsSvetlov @NikaMelkozerova i mean, I'm not really here to discuss the rights and wrongs of public vs private healthcare. what I'm saying is that socialism has nothing to do with the ussr, or any other dictatorship that call themselves "communist" or "socialists". nazi also did that btw.
@gabrichidze @DsSvetlov @NikaMelkozerova Democracy always moderates. It's about finding middle ground. For example pretty much every g7 country except US will have some sort of public healthcare. And free market fanatics will call it communism and make it look like it's a gateway to Stalin's purges. It's just not.
@gabrichidze @NikaMelkozerova According to wiki there were 2 periods:
1. Pretty much in the same period when Sweden was de-facto nazi ally, keeping neutrality on paper but helping them with trade and resources in practice.
2. Modern days, but it's related to sex change.
Nothing to do with socialism.
@NikaMelkozerova Most of EU countries are more or less socialist. People there still get to jail sometimes, ofc... Socialism is by definition democratic. That's it, if it's not a democracy - it's not a socialist state. There's nothing "people's" if people don't get a say.
