“Declaring my own Independence while burning a 4’ × 5’ foot Declaration of Independence into wood under the Florida Sun for @Ripleys July 4th event.

250 years ago, a people said ‘enough’ to a distant ruler and chose to write their own story.

Some of us are still having that conversation, with our past, with our doubts, with everything that’s held us back.

True independence isn’t given. It’s declared. And sometimes you have to sign it in Sunlight to mean it.

St. Augustine, July 4th, 2026. I’ll be there, signing mine under the same Sun that the original Declaration of Independence was declared under in 1776.

I was given one of the rarest opportunities an artist could dream of: to not only create the Cover Art for @TIME Magazine, but to photograph it as well.

Most photographers would give anything to have their image grace that red border.
By the grace of the Sun, I was commissioned to do both the art, and the photograph. A two-for-one miracle special.

For this project, I was entrusted with the holy trinity of creative expression:

🔥 Creative Freedom
📸 Director Level Responsibility

With those three gifts, I poured every ounce of confidence I had to deliver a piece of art & a high resolution photograph ahead of schedule.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe it.
This was a perfect alignment.✌️
