Das weltweite Geschäft von McDonald’s brummt. So legte der organische Umsatz im letzten Quartal um 12,6 Prozent zu, was deutlich über den Schätzungen der Analysten mit 8,8 Prozent Wachstum lag. Sowohl Preiserhöhungen als auch mehr Kunden trugen zu dem außerordentlichen Wachstum bei. Zugleich legt das Management auch bei der Anzahl der neu zu eröffnenden Restaurants einen Zahn zu. Über 1.500 neue Restaurants sollen im Geschäftsjahr 2023 eröffnet werden. In den Jahren zuvor kamen netto meist nur wenige hundert Restaurants hinzu. Es scheint, als würde die neue Unternehmensstrategie „Accelerating the Arches“ Früchte tragen.
