Yapping topics of the week:
- Dan and Phil Hard Launch, 2009-2014 era content, Doomed era content
- Wicked (For Good)
- Blue Neighborhood
- Historical fashion during the holiday season
Not one of the main things i would say they stand for, but i really appreciate Dan and Phil being strong representation for “your 30s can be your hottest age yet”
not to make a fun 'phantasy' calendar emotional but fuck im grateful the queer people i support and watch truly are queer and arent 'just gay'. to see them produce content like those photos after all theyve been through together. queer joy really is magical in any form
to say that fiyero and elphaba end up together out of pure homophobia is to misunderstand that Wicked For Good is about choices and consequences; it's basically erasing all the decisions made by the characters, to be with elphaba it's necessary to embrace everything about her and, above all, to make sacrifices—sacrifices that glinda makes clear on several occasions that she has no intention of making, while fiyero takes the first opportunity and decides to stay with her.
throughout the narrative, glinda and elphaba take different paths and the mistake some make is believing that fiyero makes the ‘gelphie endgame’ impossible, when in reality, with or without him, glinda's choices would be the same and fiyero's existence only makes elphaba's ending less lonely.
glinda chooses her dreams, fiyero chooses elphaba and elphaba chooses to be happy with the one she loves.
Queers supporting queers is Dan and Phil giving us something to joyfully crash out over while hiding from our families in the bathroom during thanksgiving
