The perpetrators remain at large. The government has completely failed to protect civilians. No mother should ever have to endure such pain.

It is widely suspected that Kuki militants are behind this attack as part of a continuing campaign of terror against Meitei civilians.

Confession of #UKNA regarding Torbung firing by #KukiTerrorists

Translation :

The KNA had laid an ambush in the Ballei/Patlen area under the assumption that the firing at Torbung had been carried out by UKNA.
After the incident at Torbung, we were originally supposed to withdraw towards Ballei/Patlen. However, we decided not to proceed in that direction. Instead, we concealed our weapons and returned via the highway.

Had we withdrawn as initially planned, there would have been bloodshed between brothers. We have already suffered greatly at the hands of our enemies, but what we cannot understand is why there was an attempt to ambush us.

Now the question arise :

Using traditional Fafal (semi-granite) stone, the artisans presented live demonstrations of indigenous carving techniques. A notable outcome was the completion of a stone relief of the IGRMS logo for permanent installation. In 1881 Chin Kuki population in Manipur was ~1/6 of Naga Population.

By 2011, it was almost equal.

In 1972-73, there was 6 Chin Kuki MLAs vs 13 Nagar MLAs.

Today it is 10 vs 10.

The Liangmei, Rongmei, Zeme and Inpui Tribes from Manipur submitted highlighted serious concerns over militant activities—illegal taxation, poppy cultivation, forest destruction, and armed groups restricting movement of indigenous people and renaming ancestral routes/villages.
