The Mayor and the City of Calgary do not speak for Calgarians on a matter this deeply personal. Even if you disagree with the option to vote, everyone has the right to be heard. Farkas can advocate on his own time, but the City of Calgary should stay neutral. Referendums are part of democracy, our only role is to encourage you to get informed and have your voice safely heard. Facts or feelings, it doesn’t matter. Just get out and vote. Send politicians a message that you still care and won’t let any single person/city's ideology sway your vote.
