This will be a dominant issue on the Party's economic agenda during Xi's third term, and will continue to have profound implications for Chinese economy and business in the decade(s) to come.
In this article, I clarified the myths around China's common prosperity drive and argued that it is to serve the political purpose of cementing the Party's comprehensive control over the economy and capital, a most important imperative of political survival for Xi.

Still, nearly half of voters voted for Trump, and many did so because they, rightly, felt their voice was not heard by the elite and their interests were not taken care of. How can silencing Trump help convince them and reverse the rising trend of populism? Expect backlash.
