@freshben2022 Please blame King Minilik. He sold Eritrea!!! Why not have the same anger towards Somalia, then?
Ethiopia is a multinational state. If they don't benefit from it, they will make their own country eg. South Sudan.
I celebrate the Republic, the separation of church & state, the end of feudalism, the national literacy campaign. I celebrate the aspiration/sacrifice for a just multinational political order, the constitution, the federalism. I celebrate 1974. I celebrate 1991. #Ginbot20#Ethiopia
Today we are joining our Ethiopian friends to commemorate Ginbot 20.

Every May 28, world leaders send congratulatory messages to Addis Ababa for a historic victory the current government barely even celebrates anymore.
Awkward moment when your official national day keeps reminding everyone of the political order you’re trying to bury.
Three years ago today, Tigray was plunged into darkness, we woke up to no electricity, no phone, no internet, no water, no banks, no transportation. A genocidal war was declared on Tigray. 1/n
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques @KingSalman and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulate President of Ethiopia on his country’s National day.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik sends a cable of congratulations to His Excellency President Taye Atske Selassie of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on the occasion of his country's National Day.
Destruction of the British Hospital in El Obeid by UAE drones. Even as they are getting clobbered by Iran they still can’t resist committing acts of terror in Sudan.
People don’t know about Tigray where over 600,000 perished because of a war financed by the UAE. This happened on the land of Nejashi. This happened between 2020 and 2022.
The downfall of the UAE is also justice for Tigray.

The only way out is unity! At the end of the day, we all want the same thing, peace ,transformation & prosperity for #Tigray. Let's not be fools and be puppets of one's show. #Tigray
Tegaru, we must first be honest with ourselves, and more importantly, honest about the pain and suffering our people in #Tigray continue to endure.
Empty bravado, insults, and tearing each other down will not move us forward, it only makes us a spectacle to others. We gain nothing by fighting one another.
We need to recognize the true magnitude of the crisis in Tigray. It’s time to pause and reflect on what we stand to collectively lose or gain. Aligning ourselves with a handful of selfish politicians, reckless military figures, or the so-called “lords of poverty” those draining the life out of our people, only makes us complicit.
Let’s choose to be civil, thoughtful, and united. Let’s acknowledge the deep wounds in Tigray and come to a shared understanding and agreement that prioritizes the well-being of our people. From that foundation, we can begin to rebuild as one people, one society.
Our differences can be addressed through honest conversation, constructive criticism, and mutual respect. But without unity and collective purpose, our fate will be the same divided or not.
