⚠️ EXTREME GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING
DO NOT OPEN IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO IMAGES OF DEAD BODIES, INCLUDING WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
I have received graphic footage reportedly from #Gaidar, Surab, #Balochistan, following the alleged bombardment by #PakistanArmy jets.
The footage appears to show men, women and children lying dead beneath the rubble. The authenticity and exact circumstances of the footage have not been independently verified.
People may think this is Gaza or Kashmir.
It is not. This is Balochistan.
A land rich in minerals and natural resources, yet its people continue to pay an unimaginable price.
If these reports are confirmed, 27 lives… including women and children, are gone. Behind every number is a family, a home, a mother, a child, a future.
Balochistan may be far from the world’s cameras, but Baloch lives are not worth any less.
How many more bodies beneath the rubble before the world looks towards Balochistan? 🖤

On #WorldElephantDay let me introduce Gajraj and Teesta Rani. Both were rescued as a last resort when they lost their families.
Now under our care. And they often collect their toll taxes from me. One such moment.
Around Assam’s Kaziranga National Park, a rare story of trust unfolds between a man and an elephant.
Bipin Kashyap and Bhima share a bond that goes beyond care—it’s family. At 16, Bipin first connected with a lost, frightened elephant by offering it bananas, marking the start of his life’s journey.
Today, he rescues and cares for injured and lost elephants. Bhima is one of them—but also like his own child.
For Bipin, this isn’t just work—it’s purpose.
On World Elephant Day, here is reminder that the strongest bonds are built on trust and compassion.

Imagine a world without elephants. Imagine forests without them. They would never be as rich, resilient and alive as they are when elephants roam through them as ecosystem engineers !
India is so lucky to have elephants. The latest Wildlife Institute of India DNA-based assessment estimates 22,446 wild elephants in India, meaning India is home to roughly half of the world’s remaining wild Asian elephants.
Within India, the Western Ghats are the great elephant stronghold. Karnataka (6,013), Tamil Nadu (3,136) and Kerala (2,785) together have 11,934 elephants, more than 53% of India’s entire estimated population. Tamil Nadu has the third-highest elephant population in the country, after Karnataka and Assam.
India’s top five elephant states are: Karnataka 6,013 | Assam 4,159 | Tamil Nadu 3,136 | Kerala 2,785 | Uttarakhand 1,792. Together they account for nearly 80% of India’s elephants.
This #WorldElephantDay, we must resolve to do everything we can to conserve elephants #worldElephantDay2026 #elephants #elephantday Brilliant capture @shanmughanandam

All they are asking for is a road to their school. Is that too much to ask after nearly 80 years of Independence? This should have been done decades ago.
