@clhubes To clarify, yes I'm sure I personally was less responsible as a kid or teen, but I had my parents staying on top of me and making sure I made it to commitments. Being a young adult/20something I suddenly had more responsibility and hadn't built the skills to handle it

@clhubes I think to some extent is is typical of 20 somethings. Like I don't think it's on purpose but my 20s were the least responsible I've been in my life, and things just slipped my mind. That said this is a big responsibility, so it makes it hard on you finding one who is responsible

@realgirl_fieri @juliedangerrr Oh I agree, in case my comment wasn't clear. Like I think a lot of the advice about what exactly to say and how to say it are trying to optimize parenting in a way that gives diminishing returns for a lot of unnecessary pressure and frustration
