A COMBAT SYSTEM is NOT A GENRE
It's funny to me that I see many people here that say Final Fantasy XVI is not an RPG because the gameplay is according to them "Devil May Cry"
Which is wrong, the game is 100% an RPG
Turn-based combat is not what makes an RPG

@Namatnieks I don't understand why people decided that ds is a game about bosses when the first two games had pretty easy and simple bosses that were just a cool addition to the great level design.
To me almost every new soulslike falls flat, because it feels like the devs are focusing on the wrong things and that is extremely elaborate, ultra difficulty boss fights. Sure DS1 was sorta difficult, but to me it was more about the exploration. That's where it absolutely shone
Just making your way through the unique interesting world, filled with various funky creatures and finding cool items and shit. It's enough for the boss to just look super cool, it doesnt need to do crazy 10 hit combos. I wish they'd focus on that more.
