Superblocks

Unite engineering, IT, and business teams to build secure internal apps—together

[Superblocks @superblocks]

Teams that knew which of their sites ran PHP patched within hours. Teams that didn’t took sites offline.

For every app your business teams build with AI, can you answer:

--> What does it run on?
--> Are its packages pinned?
--> How fast can you rotate its keys?

So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and https://t.co/QlOXb3COq3 went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what vibe coding looks like once it starts touching real systems.

It’s easy to generate an app. The harder part is making sure that app isn’t bypassing the security controls your company already depends on.

For this video, I partnered with @superblocks and worked through that problem in practice: identity, credentials, dev vs. prod, deployment, security checks, and visibility.

People will build with AI. The question is whether they do it inside your security model or outside of it.

We just closed $1m in 24 hours 🚀

That's worth celebrating. But the real story is what it took to get here.

In 2021 Superblocks started as a low-code platform for internal tools.

Things were going well and customers loved the product.

But in late 2024 we noticed coding agents were just staring to work. We had the realization that we were about to get crushed by a tidal wave.

At the start of 2025 we did the hard thing: we buckled down, threw out our first product and rebuilt the company ground-up for the future:

>AI coding agent-first
>Rearchitected the platform to focus on code security and governance
>Changed our GTM to sell into central IT & Security teams
>Changed our end user to be business users
>Lost some team members along the way

In January 2026, we entered beta. The response was immediate.

In April 2026, we launched Superblocks 2.0.

That launch post hit 4M views, and inbound hasn't stopped since.

Now the market is coming to us.

After 5 years of grit, we find ourselves at the right place at the right time.

Never give up.

[AWS Startups @AWSstartups]

Congrats to the @superblocks team on 3.0! Vibe coding is moving fast, but enterprises need more than speed. They need governance, model choice, and a secure path to production.

That's why we partnered with Superblocks to bring their platform into customers' own AWS environments. Business teams build. IT stays in control. Data never leaves the security perimeter.

The future of enterprise software isn't buy vs. build. It's both.

[Snowflake @Snowflake]

Build custom apps in minutes with natural language.

Snowflake CoCo generates Streamlit apps conversationally - wires them to governed data and deploys. Plus: announcing React app support.

With OpenAI mulling price cuts and Claude bills skyrocketing out of control, I'm proud to announce Superblocks Spend Management.

This is timely with news of Microsoft shutting down Claude Code due to costs, while Uber and Coinbase lead the charge on budget optimization.

This is just the first step and there's more to come with multi-model and automatic model routing per task.

We are committed to empower every customer to control their destiny and drive maximum ROI on AI vibe coding across business users in the enterprise.

Introducing Spend Management on Superblocks.

AI building is spreading beyond engineers to every team, and spend scales faster than budgets. Most orgs can't see where it's going until the invoice lands.

Now admins can:
→ Set org-wide and per-user AI credit limits
→ Get alerts before teams hit the wall
→ Add credits in two clicks when builders need room
→ Track spend by user, time, and app

It works because every builder, every credit, and every app runs on a single IT-governed platform. One control plane, not a dozen scattered tools.

This is pillar one. Model choice and intelligent routing come next, so you pay frontier prices only for the tasks that need them.

Scale AI. Control the spend. Link in comments.

There's always risk with an AI-built app. But the real exposure isn't the app. It's the database it spun up with your PII and no governance.

Launched at Snowflake Summit 2026: the 1st vibe coding App Database on Snowflake Postgres. Build apps with AI, keep the data inside your Snowflake perimeter.

[Superblocks @superblocks]

[Superblocks @superblocks]

Employees are vibe-coding company data into external databases IT can't see.

Today we shipped the Superblocks App Database on AWS RDS. Make RDS your default app database and keep every vibe-coded app's data inside your own AWS account.

IT governs it for every app; dev and prod stay isolated, and rollbacks restore code, schema, and data together.

Your apps. Your data. Your VPC.

[Superblocks @superblocks]

Shadow AI is the new shadow IT.

Today we shipped Superblocks App Imports. Bring apps from Claude, Replit, Lovable, v0, Bolt, or Base44 into Superblocks. They inherit your IT's RBAC, SSO, in-VPC deployment, and security controls on migration.

[Superblocks @superblocks]

[Superblocks @superblocks]

What you get:

--> Block exposed API keys, vulnerable packages, and supply chain risks before production
--> Token exchange and service accounts replace personal API keys
--> Ship inside your VPC. Data never leaves your network
--> MCP-monitored audit logs and RBAC across every app

Yasmin is finally getting the recognition she deserves.

A story: When Superblocks was early on, we didn’t raise enough to weather the AI storm. Yasmin stepped in and wrote us a large check for Spark Capital to extend our Series A so we could play the long game and reinvent our business for AI.

That investment happened on a 15 min phone call where Yasmin encouraged us to not play it safe but to instead think big and be aggressive. It gave us the runway to completely transform into an AI business that is now scaling fast.

Investors who show up during uncertain times and bet big on you are special.

I remember when Yasmin told me about the early Anthropic round, while everyone else was afraid OpenAI had already won the market, Yasmin believed not only that there could be a second player, but there was an opportunity to build something bigger than OpenAI.

She didn't just invest, she wrote the largest check Spark had ever written and this was before anyone had ever heard of Claude.

Again Yasmin believed in the founder when it was unpopular.

I’m proud to call Yasmin an investor and a friend.

Announcing Superblocks MCP: AI Governance for the Vibe Coding Era

Business teams are using AI to generate apps rapidly at scale.

Shadow AI is on the rise with AI coding agents running on every user's laptop. With the rise of supply chain attacks every line of code needs oversight to keep organizations safe and secure.

The time has come for IT to have its own set of AI agents to secure and govern the portfolio of evolving applications, code by business teams.

Superblocks MCP gives IT admins programmatic access to every entity on a unified data model: Builders, applications, integrations, permissions, audit logs, queries, usage events and more.

An alert about a suspicious query can be immediately correlated with the application it came from, the integration it hit, and the builder who last modified it.

That's what a real system of record looks like: not just a list of things that exist, but a connected graph of your software estate that supports the kind of deep, cross-entity questions that real governance requires.

Heads of IT at enterprises are using Superblocks MCP to:

> Identify applications using a malicious package and shut them down instantly
> Detect anomalous write patterns against critical data sources
> Trigger alerts when permission rules change on sensitive systems
> Analyze usage patterns to understand which applications matter most
> Monitor and control AI and infrastructure spend at the team and individual level

This is the path to safe, secure, enterprise-wide vibe coding at scale.

That's what we are delivering across 100s of organizations with Superblocks by giving power back to IT.
