Fixing this will allow blizz to make lightsmith more viable in high keys and allow them to nerf other parts of hpals kit to balance them, such as nerfing holy power spenders or talents down a bit.
Light of dawn only healing about 40% thru beacons vs word of glorys 75% needs to be changed. Dawn is barely better in very niche situations, but this makes it unusable (except as a topper) especially in lightsmith.
This being said, they've done a phenomenal job at threading the needle here with tuning dungeons for healer vs tank vs dps breakpoints. Overall class balance and raid balance are a different topic....
I feel like this WoW season, healing is a *little* bit too hard. Don't get me wrong, it should be VERY hard at high keys, but it should be the thing that breaks keys more than 20% of the time -- dps should. And this is coming from a hpal, the best heal class rn by a mile.
Upon further inspection, it appears healing with LoD does NOT get transferred AT ALL if it heals a target with beacons, but overhealing (as long as it's a non-beacon target) does. Surely this isn't the case in dungeons? That would make LoD useless during virtue...
One weird thing about Beacons with hpal is that it says it duplicates '15% of healing' but it's only ability/direct healing. Anything else transfers nothing (crusader, passives, etc.). Also, Light of Dawn does not transfer very much compared to Word of Glory. Here is an example
It's extremely counterintuitive (and poor design) that WoG, an ability that typically does less overall healing-per-cat than LoD, consistently causes more beacon healing than LoD -- and by often more than double.
Classic+ wishlist:
rebalance of all classes, talents, and items to make them more competitive
Emphasis on class build diversity and experimentation, including gear (i.e. making spirit and agility together not dogshit)
Extra gear and player power content that IS NOT op like SoD.
Since it's not framed as though there is a downside (i.e. resources and time spent on other content), every poll question is basically "do you want content?" and ofc everyone votes "yes"
one thing that really confuses me about osrs vs rs is why ppl overwhelming play osrs. At first, I thought it was probably cuz it was a harder, slower game that felt more fulfilling, mixed with no EOC. But over time as I played osrs this doesn't seem to be it too much
And player polling isn't a reason because rs used to do that and polls just result in allowing additions nearly every time so it's basically just whatever content the devs want in the end.
