This will change the way we experience sports forever -- watching the game from a gods eye view.
Arcturus is building 4D gaussian splatting tech that can capture every angle of a sporting event and pushes the bar for volumetric video. I tested this in a headset and it makes 360 and 3D 180 video look ancient.
This puts you closer to the action than any stadium seat, and it’s genuinely mind blowing.
@EVT_News@MikeUrsery Making Kyle Bradish a throw-in for Pivetta is really nuts from an Os perspective. Research his stuff. He’s got a middle-upper 90s electric rising FB. And the highest spin rates on tight breaking balls. Everything moves and he has command. His only question is about health.
@MikeUrsery@RonU66@EVT_News Zero chance of this, even a negative chance of this ever happening. The Os see Kyle Bradish as a major TJ bounce back candidate, and presumptive ace of their staff. He was competing for Cy Youngs before the injury. AL East opponents know he’s an elite pitcher if healthy.
@GiuseppeMets@Jim22Palmer I love it when random Mets fans casually start debating baseball with one of the best pitchers in the history of baseball. Please, @GiuseppeMets, explain baseball to Hall of Famer @Jim22Palmer (sarcasm)
@spensermwarren@jonmorosi@MLBNetwork 1. They did use their prospects to trade for a #1. 2. It's only been a year plus of the window. There's a lot of time on this extremely young core. You're jumping to conclusions. Still too early to say the Os playoff window is done.
@Jim22Palmer I could accept this if the players voted him in, but the fact that MLB did was just perplexing. The Yanks had 2 so this was them trying to reward Holmes for—hm I don’t actually know? Stats-wise, itz Kimbrel no contest. Holmes has been hittable during their recent swoon
@Jim22Palmer@BarryMo07 It’s funny that the point you’re making is about Kimbrel being deserving, and everyone seems to come in w their particular take on the “NYC bias” part of it
@ElijahEv8@RPKennelly So in other words, getting Crochet for Basallo would mean they'd also probably have to trade for another SP elsewhere to cover the second half innings. So for the Os your trade would be: Basallo-Norby-De Leon + Player X-Player Y..a net of 5-6 prospects.
@ElijahEv8@RPKennelly In yr article you mentioned the Os merely wanting to protect their prospect depth, but that's oversimplifying it. Os are rly about using their assets to make sure to help for the stretch run AND playoffs. Crochet gets them halfway there.
@ElijahEv8@RPKennelly I think Norby will probably be a better bat than Joey Ortiz has been so far for the Brewers, and less defense, but not a liability there either. He's solid defender. Norway is projected to have more power and avg skills than Ortiz.
@JL_Robertson@ElijahEv8@RPKennelly Basallo is probably going to debut in 2025, as a 20 yr old. It will likely be one of those up-and-down years, adjusting to the majors. So not a full season.
