@dannyroddy I know nothing but asked the robot, it claims "excessive NO can form compounds that accelerate aging, this happens during uncontrolled systemic inflammation via an enzyme called iNOS. GLP-1 agonists only boost eNOS—a form that keeps vessels flexible & reduces cellular strain"
@edzitron That said, having done reading, it seems like there's a lot invested into this model, and a lot riding on it. I'm surprised and it tells me that I have a more romantic and outdated idea of what Ferrari is as a company than the reality.
@EndMarxism33@AlexanderGRubi2 Let's pretend we went through this. You can feel smug about making me angry and I'll feel smug about making you look ignorant by showing how smart I am and we'll both get on with the rest of our respective days feeling good and do other cool stuff.
@FoodForestNetwk@AlexanderGRubi2 Sure, but if you need to make something to drive a nail, you'll probably end up with a hammer. All humans (as creatures) share similar input and output requirements, so there'll tend to be an underlying commonality between all of us. Will the aesthetics be different? Certainly.
@robsullivan1973@AlexanderGRubi2 I would argue that focusing on one technology misses the point though. Sufficient pressure would push a society to invest effort to solve the issue at the appropriate time, just as with North Korea did with Juche fiber.
@robsullivan1973@AlexanderGRubi2 https://t.co/s8YiJbCsvx makes an interesting case for using geopolymers to cast monuments. Even if you don't believe ancient structures were made that way, the point is that it doesn't all start and end with portland cement.
@AlexanderGRubi2 I'm saying this is propaganda (neutral use of term as one-sided media seeking to influence). That actual future is unknowable. This, like all media, is made with an agenda and the creator seeks to influence our present.
@AlexanderGRubi2 I think carcinization (convergent evolution) makes a compelling case against this school of thought. Any system given consistent problems to solve and appropriate pressure will, given long enough, form comparable solutions.
@AlexanderGRubi2 Isn't a much stronger message here a case for a return to slower living, presence in the moment, traditional crafts, value in craft and materials, value in human effort, and investment in human spaces?
@AlexanderGRubi2 What is the point if not to pitch the vision? One might just as easily have generated a vision for a dystopic aztec future where slavery (tlacotin) was ubiquitous.
