@AtsuroTsujino@MICHAEL38324008 Protections for employees are fine, but Japanese labor law is overly restrictive. Employers risk being stuck with underperforming workers or opt for temps/outsourcing, which is bad for corporations and labor both. Labor law is killing productivity.
@KevinRothrock When an underdog is thrust into an impossible situation and over performs, survival is an achievement. Give that underdog powerful weapons and expert coaching and the defintion of success changes. Ah yes, the time-honored geopolitical crisis metaphor as sports analysis.
@hikosaemon In effect “there is a greater chance that there is a small chance that something inevitable will perhaps happen kind of soon but probably won’t.”
@EarthUncutTV@melaniebrockjpn I realize the science is limited, but JMA is certainly vague with this. “There is potentially some degree of increased risk in an undetermined time frame…”
@mrjeffu Besides being illegal, it’s also hugely disrespectful. Imagine seeing someone traipsing through your home that you were forced to leave. They are using a person’s tragedy for clicks and cheap kicks.
@hikosaemon There’s a good chance the market will rebound in the coming days and will very likely return to recent valuations within a few years. Hopefully novice investors don’t panic sell and have limited risk through a diverse portfolio.
@kiyotoshi_y Reaction to these lists are always so silly. “I lived in this city and didn’t like being in traffic; it must be top ten!” “I visited this city once and there was a big traffic jam, and I almost missed my flight. It must be at the top!”
