@LukeMiani Another downside is power outages or surges f up the on/off status of the device because not every manufacturer implemented how to handle that event
@9to5mac I think what makes a feature arguably worth it is how noticeable your experience is with and without it. I find the feature to be more annoying that helpful but that’s not to say I haven’t appreciated it before
@themellowhost I mostly agree but with a bias. Objectively i don’t know if I would consider it the most revolutionary in a modern smartphone. Apple was following the trends of the times. Many androids were pushing fuller screens. The notch showed up a bit more, but the hole punch took dominance
@themellowhost Google 100%. Apple is nice in design but it’s far lacking in functionality and features. Both have the critical functions of navigation, information on locations, and mapping sure, but Google’s been more reliable in my experience.
@MacRumors@julipuli I get Spotify’s argument in this. Given that merch is available to buy, like tickets, apparel, and physical items, I don’t see why a link to buy an audiobook is different aside from the item being sold directly from Spotify. Spotify’s lack in progress on features is what irks me.
