If you ask me these are the kinds of environments that attract the highest IGR.
We don't generate as much as we should because sometimes the government doesn't make the right investments and the right way.
Ideally, every city should have a beautification ministry or a town planning ministry that deliberately plans how the city should look.
How an environment looks and feels is very, very important.
With the amount of investments, foreign nationals, diasporans, returnees, and businesses coming into Lagos, the government is supposed to make sure the environment matches the ambition.
Investments like this can make internally generated revenue triple or even quadruple.
The government should stop neglecting the environment and see it as one of the biggest drivers of the economy.
I'll give you an example. The chairman of Amuwo-Odofin/FESTAC doesn't like street trading, and one of the first things he tackled after assuming office was the environment.
The entire Second Gate/agboju market in FESTAC is being rebuilt. I'll post the videos later.
Honestly, we have a lot of technocrats.
What we're seeing currently is not normal.
The first thing any serious administration should do is take care of the environment. Investments and revenue generation come after that.
I dare the constitution to make Hon Vinod the chairman of the Lekki-Ajah axis. Give him six months and you'll see the whole environment transformed.
He'll first bring in @LSPWC_Official to fix all the roads, and organize the area.
When someone is a success they don't need to tell you, you'll see it with your own eyes.
Ask anybody who lived around Ago Palace during Governor Ambode's administration how that place looked.
Governors like Fashola and Ambode didn't need to tell you Lagos was a mega city, they showed it through visible results.
Allowing the environment to decline like this is not good.
The government should consider taking a loan if necessary and invest in the environment.
A lot of important global events are coming, and the environment is just as important as any other infrastructure.
Businesses, residents, visitors, and even government officials deserve to live in a clean, well-maintained city.
From the governor to the smallest citizen, from highbrow to lowbrow areas, A city should be properly maintained.

“I Started Working as a Traffic Officer After Customs Seized Goods Worth Millions of Naira. The Ordeal Took a Heavy Toll on Me, and I Lost My Mind for a While And Even Ran Mad. It Was My People Who Saved And Helped Me Recover. After Everything, I Decided to Hustle Again and Get Back on My Feet. Eventually, I Got a Job With the Lekki Residents Association, Where I’ve Been Working for Close to 20 Years Now.” ~ Mr. Tony Okoro Reveals🥺
God Bless you bro, This is a fantastic Social and real-life experiment, over the years on this app, we have seen a lot of people running away from the reality at the grassroots, empowerment has different layers and all layers deserve every form of support either by Government or private sector. It’s always funny when you see people that claim to ‘fight for the poor’ still trying to dismiss empowerment for the same ‘poor’ they claim to fight for.
"Before our President came in, the reason why we were having financial problems which we have been having before he came in, is because a lot of money was being spent to import petrol. How can we be importing petrol when we have this in abundance here? So, on his first day in office, President Tinubu removed fuel subsidy and everyone was happy but the saboteurs who were benefiting from the subsidy began to sabotage the economy...."
Throwback Thursday. 21 years ago today (in 2005) then Governor of Lagos State, @officialABAT, chaired the Sir Michael Otedola Scholarship Scheme Award Ceremony. Today His Excellency now serves as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In the ceremony I donated N200,000,000 (two hundred million naira only) to the scholarship scheme founded by my late father in 1987, continuing our family’s commitment to investing in the education.

THUNDER FROM ABOVE, FIRE ON THE GROUND! 🇳🇬⚡
Witness the ultimate power of synergy as the Nigerian Air Force and the Nigerian Army join forces in a coordinated "Airforce Strike & Army Advance" mission. This is what true military dominance looks like total precision from the sky meeting relentless grit on the ground.
THE BREAKDOWN:
✈️AIR SUPERIORITY: Watch as a fighter jet screams across the sky, delivering a decisive strike to neutralize threats from above.
🪖🔥GROUND DOMINANCE: Immediately following the air strike, Army tactical units and heavy armored vehicles move in with lightning speed to secure the area.
♦️UNBREAKABLE SYNERGY: The seamless communication between the pilots in the cockpit and the troops in the field ensures there is no room for error.
When the Air Force clears the path and the Army holds the line, our enemies have nowhere to run. This is more than just an operation; it’s a promise that every inch of Nigerian soil will be protected by land and by air.
Show some love for this incredible display of force! Drop a SALUTE or a 🇳🇬 to honor our heroes in the sky and on the ground! 🛡️🫡

The Ministry of Health has decided to bless our timeline with statistics.
But I must say, it has underperformed under the leadership of Prof. Pate.
What we need is realistic healthcare reform tailored to low-income earners and rural communities🫶🤷..not ribbon-cutting ceremonies for MRI and CT scan machines that may never function optimally.
While the ministry highlights its achievements, millions of Nigerians still struggle with access to basic primary healthcare, healthcare financing, and essential medical services.

Two things stand out. First, the drone uses a fibre optic guidance system, transmitting data through a physical glass fibre tether rather than radio signals, making it completely immune to electronic jamming.
Also, designing explosive munitions for FPV drones is an incredibly complex engineering challenge that requires a high level of technical expertise and precision. That they were able to pull it off is a clear demonstration of their advanced capabilities. All made in Nigeria.
Let me begin by sincerely appreciating everyone who stayed up last night to join my live conversation with Daddy Freeze on Instagram.
Thank you for your engagement, understanding, and continued trust in our commitment to finding sustainable solutions to the environmental challenges confronting our state. Your observations, suggestions, and, of course, your complaints have been duly noted. As promised, we will carefully review them and take appropriate action where necessary.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to Daddy Freeze for extending the invitation to be on his platform. It is our hope that more influencers and media personalities will provide similar opportunities for us to engage directly with Lagosians, explain our programmes, share our progress, and address concerns transparently.
Misinformation, false narratives, and destructive criticism do not advance our collective cause. Sustainable development is built on shared responsibility, constructive engagement, and genuine patriotism. Together, we can build a cleaner, safer, and more resilient Lagos.
Thank you.
