I had two really hard pregnancies. I will spare everyone the awful details but because of it I had to have a stress test and an ultrasound every other day and we were all just praying I could make it to 34 weeks because after 34 weeks the baby is considered late preterm and has a 99% chance of surviving.

By God’s grace I made it until 35 weeks before I had to have an emergency c-section.

I met a lot of moms in the NICU those first couple of days and some of their babies were struggling but fighting so hard. Luckily the ones I met all took their babies home and they are now perfect and all caught up with their milestones.

Whenever I see people celebrate something as cruel and vicious as late term abortions it brings me back to those days in the NICU where I watched other moms pray and cry and worry all day and I can’t help but to be profoundly sad for our society.

God entrusts mothers to protect their babies, the most innocent of innocents among us and to know that there are women out there who would actually murder babies that are full grown is the same thing as a mom murdering her newborn. It’s that evil. And yet there are women who celebrate this.

49 days ago we landed in the USA to follow our country at the World Cup. We had no idea it would turn into the trip of a lifetime.

Thank you to everyone who followed along, and to all the people we met who made this journey even more special. We honestly don’t have the words to express how grateful we are for everything you did for us.

This trip exceeded every expectation we had. We came here with an open mind, wanting to experience as much of the country as possible. I still remember telling my friends on the flight to Atlanta that I hoped we’d get to meet a few locals on this trip. Now we’re flying home with friends all across the USA.

Before we came, we heard so many stereotypes and warnings about America. People told us about safety concerns, that they might check our social media at the border, and all kinds of other things. None of it matched our experience. This was probably the most welcoming country we’ve ever visited.

So if you have the chance to travel, do it. The world isn’t nearly as bad as the media often makes it seem. 99% of people are awesome!

I heard this quote somewhere during the World Cup, and I think it sums up our experience perfectly:

“If you want to hate the world, watch the news. If you want to love it, travel it.”

Will Roberts, the Alabama boy who was fighting cancer, has died.

Will entered the gates of Heaven after taking his final breath at 1245 am central time.

“Me, Jason, Charlie, granny, and my dad gathered around his bed and loved on him until the doctors could get everything together to prepare and remove the oxygen and increase sedation. Once that time came, me and Jason were the only ones with him when he took his last breath,” his mother said.

“Our story with Will didn't end today. It simply changed chapters. We will spend the rest of our lives making sure the world knows who Will was, what God did through Will's life, and how one fifteen-year-old changed more lives than most people ever will.”

What an inspiration this boy was. We will miss you, Will.

NEW: Justice Clarence Thomas issues a scathing 91-page dissenting opinion after the Supreme Court struck down President Trump's birthright citizenship order.

"The Court today takes the extraordinary step of holding facially unconstitutional the President's Order excluding from citizenship the children of foreign temporary visitors and illegal aliens," Thomas wrote.

"In doing so, the Court adds to the sad history of the Fourteenth Amendment, which was designed and understood to secure equal rights for the freed blacks but has instead been repurposed for political projects that the Reconstruction Congress did not support."
