Bitaxe gamma hex, re hydro’d, vr cooled, arctic all the things. 🤌🏽 next up, get her on my psu so we can really push it

One trick I learned on my 801 is a 0.5mm copper shim is the same height as a 1370 so sticking two of those in the foil front spots transferred all that heat directly into my axp90 so the asic cooler cools the vr too. That’s why I took this one apart right away but the vr are slightly too far away from the asics on this one to reach, and too close to fit much of a heatsink on. 🤔 happy with the temps as is luckily.

Yeah in that first mod build with the air cool I had four stick on heat sinks right on the gold foil spots in the back of the vrs, but they don’t fit with the waterblock on. A fan is def a good idea, but so far with heat sinks on the back and a fan back there my vrs are staying super cool. 🤌🏽

It’s more different. lol. I prefer air cooling to hydro, and had a monster cooler waiting for something like a 6 chip platform to test on. Switching my psu to 240vac might make it a bit more efficient but for the most part, the change in cooling method is more preference than anything else. 🕺

@HomeMiningPod @SoloSatoshi It’s excellent. Had to take it apart before I even plugged it in to see what’s all in there. All the best parts of the 801 and rev7 plus extra fan headers and excellent placement of parts for modding. Thing is a beast!
