When LeBron first hit the spotlight 25 years ago on the SI cover, many MJ fans thought/hoped LeBron would be a bust and quickly fall into irrelevance like so many other "next MJ's" before him. Whatever, this kid can't even shoot jumpers right? Fraud right? Well....no. LeBron instead quickly proved he was worthy of the hype and then some. Much like how sheep can sense when they're being stalked by a wolf, MJ fans immediately recognized who the biggest threat was. It wasn't Kobe, or Shaq, or later KD/Steph/Jokic. It was LeBron. It's always been LeBron. That's why the hatred has never stopped, and, in fact, the more LeBron has achieved, the dumber & more pathological the hatred has gotten. Why? because LeBron has made the Nike brainwashed MJ cult worst fears come to fruition: He surpassed MJ as the best basketball player ever, and they simply can not handle it.
