YOUR INVITATION TO JOIN #MarvelGames40 – A Celebration of 40 Years of Marvel Video Games
Sometime in late 1982, Parker Brothers released Spider-Man for Atari 2600 – the first Marvel game ever released. So I had a thought – let’s celebrate 40 years of Marvel games! (1/7)
Check out this Simon Bisley artwork from the canceled Lobo game for PS2 and Xbox from Kemco! (You know all about that one, right? https://t.co/ldcEZGZlxW)
Curiously, it's dated 2005. Last we heard about Lobo was in 2003 -- it's interesting to see it was still being worked on.
If you subscribe to https://t.co/nt4BuvNZgS for videogame Easter eggs and you're looking forward to the Fantastic Four movie, then sweet Aunt Petunia, have I got some fun reading for you: https://t.co/6487aTcf3G
Great #MarvelGames40 video, Jay! Your top 10 is WAY different than mine—I think only two of yours are also in my top 10, and three don’t even crack my top 40! But that’s what I love about personal “favorites” lists versus “best” lists.
And good job launching on time! 😀
UPDATE: There will be at least one #MarvelGames40 video posting on Friday, but several others—including mine—will likely debut in the days or weeks to follow. It’s a year-long celebration, so all contributions are welcome whenever they come!

For #MarvelGames40, I'll be counting down my 40 favorite Marvel games.

Details in the thread.
Here are some more original Deluxe Paint art files for SNES 'Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge'. The Cyclops sprites look fairly complete. I'm not sure about the other 'comic book' images and whether they were used. Thank to Mike Follin who worked on the Cyclops level.
Here's NES Wolverine being assembled from its 6502 source code using Software Creations original IDE ( PC-ED under DOS ). It takes 5 seconds to assemble the main game code - back in the day, 1991, this was probably around 30-40 seconds including the transfer to target time.
Reasonable wishful thinkings:
—Namor is an early antagonist, but by the end he’s a playable hero
—Wolverine is a DLC mission, and it’s the same Wolvie as in Insomniac’s game
—Invaders is in the title

Finally able to check out the new Skydance game’s trailer after a day on the road. What a cool premise! Some thoughts in the thread to follow—including one Easter egg you probably heard here first.
And what exactly is meant by “two worlds”? Is this multiversal, or is it more of a Hootie and the Blowfish “you and me, we come from different worlds” kind of thing (i.e., Western civilization versus Wakanda’s isolation)?
