"Yesterday I adopted the oldest, and sorest shelter dog. I'll never forget his eyes. When I went into the cage he didn't even bother to look, he knew I wouldn't even see him.

Curling around the corner He'd accepted his fate. The volunteer said to me many times... Are you sure this one? Are you sure? YES! This is my dog. He opened the cage and 3 animals fell on me. I ran towards him, suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel... I hugged him and told him that now he'll be happy again. Then he sleeps in my lap... probably the first peaceful sleep he ever had.

Give it a life. Give it a hug. They need us."

Questa foto risale al 2013. Julian #Assange viveva, come in prigione, nell’Ambasciata dell’Ecuador a Londra. Andai a trovarlo e conobbi un uomo forte ed equilibrato, nonostante le circostanze. Chiedemmo di poter avere una foto insieme, Julian mi guardò e disse, “Non seri però, ché sembriamo sconfitti. Ridiamo, sempre”. Mi strinse, sorridemmo, e quei sorrisi pensavo fossero già una vittoria sulla sorte. Non era così.

In queste ore il mio pensiero non può che tornare forte a Julian Assange che potrebbe essere presto estradato negli Stati Uniti se verrà respinto il suo appello che si discuterà alla Corte Suprema Britannica oggi e domani, 20 e 21 febbraio. Assange si trova nella prigione di massima sicurezza di Belmarsh a Londra e, se estradato, rischia una pena fino a 175 anni di carcere.

Stella Assange, sua moglie, ha spiegato che «la sua salute sta peggiorando sia dal punto di vista fisico, sia psicologico. La sua vita è a rischio ogni giorno che resta in carcere e, se estradato, morirà».
Morirà perché potrebbe togliersi la vita.

@amnesty nel suo appello, scrive: “La pubblicazione da parte di Wikileaks di documenti rivelati all’organizzazione da altre fonti rientra nella condotta che giornalisti investigativi ed editori possono legalmente tenere nell’ambito della loro attività professionale. Le accuse di spionaggio e di frode informatica contro Assange sono motivate politicamente e violano il diritto alla libertà di espressione. Inoltre, possono avere una ‘grave ricaduta’ sulla libertà dei media a livello globale, spingendo giornalisti ed editori ad autocensurarsi per evitare il rischio di denunce”.

Difendere Julian Assange significa difendere la libertà di informazione, significa difendere la democrazia.

@Microsft @Windows the issue is that they work “so well” and care for customers that their security system sucks. They do not send email or phone messages to the provided email address/mobile with a code to get to the Security Key of the OS to change a password. @Apple forever

@Windows support: it is online… Not all the Qs are answered, then they contact you=GREAT. Speak to someone who is NOT a tech support, then they put on hold for 49 min. Someone ANSWERED! And… while listening to the issue they hung up.
@Microsoft cares for their customers!!!!!!
