@jennyleeshee I am switching schools in September. Surplussed from my school sadly. I had 6 boxes and several bags that I brought home. I’m an educational assistant. All of the resources and activities I have were bought with my own money.

Schools boards are dangerously underfunded & considering axing vital special education capacity to save $. THIS IS NOT OK! Those classes are the only reason many of our kids can be in school. WE SEE YOU @Sflecce & @fordnation#NeedsBasedEdu#50KIsNotOK#onpoli#OAPTransparency
@CarymaRules As an Educational Assistant I make less than that a year. I get hit, kicked and pushed on a regular basis. Parents don’t care either. I’m told it’s ok that’s the roll of an EA.
@ozhibiiige@CanadianTire I was followed around a canadian tire store last weekend. Every aisle I went down she was there staring at me with crossed arms. I have never had this happen to me there before. I wonder if it’s a new thing in their stores. I’m in a smaller town & am a middle aged white woman.
Unbelievable @kprschools!
Ontario school board director’s salary increased almost 25 per cent despite provincewide wage freeze - The Globe and Mail https://t.co/UGgzhcSkmV
The Minister of Education did yet another photo op today. Look at the sign next to him:
"2 out of 3 ECEs work more than one job to make ends meet".
Shame on this government for not supporting education workers.

@birgitomo I’m sorry you have to deal with that. My grandmother was of that mindset & it would make me sick when she want start spewing hateful comments. I didn’t stay silent & I hope I was able to make the situation even slightly better. My grandmother ended up cutting me out of her life.
A message from Laura Walton, President of @osbcucscso: Ford will say it’s us versus parents, but we are the parents. We are the caregivers. We will not be bought or distracted. These next five days are crucial. Tell Ford, Lecce, and your MPP we need a https://t.co/73UGT6Gedm
OPSEU/SEFPO President @JPHornick yesterday morning: “We are not standing down, we are standing by. We will make sure that promise is made to stick.” We’re in this fight with @CUPEOntario workers, with all workers, until a fair deal is reached.

Never been more proud of an @OPSEU President than I am today! @JPHornick spoke Loud and Proud on the Solidarity of the Canadian Labour Movement. “When you come for one of us, you come for ALL of us!” Thank you JP! #39kIsNotEnough#Solidarity
As of today:
- Schools are closed even though @fordnation vowed it wouldn't happen
- 1.6% of children in the Ontario Autism Program are being serviced & he won't give updates
- Children's hospitals are overcrowded w/ no plans to address it
This is Doug Ford "putting kids first."
Defend our right to free and fair collective bargaining. Tell Doug Ford: Hands off workers’ rights! Stop the attack on education workers! https://t.co/5lViToD4zq
How about that Ontario?
Lecce has the right to not testify at the Labour Board b/c he is protected by “parliamentary privilege,” but #CUPE doesn’t have collective bargaining rights even though they are protected by the Charter.
